Interesting, the strong visuals seem to greatly enchanch the haiku's/ poetry. The only drawback is that we don't create visuals of these haiku's in our mind which is one of the original intentions of haiku's but we may get something better: a real visual AND a bigger emotional response.

ithree anthologies that are are widely available..."the classic tradition of haiku", "haiku moment"&" the haiku. ." Jack kerouacs haiku collection is amazing but be forewarned that most of the haiku in all these books are not 5-7-5. if you prefer light verse the redneck haiku and zombie haiku are individual collections that were widely popular and done in 5-7-5. another good anthology is "the haiku year" with haiku by rock star micheal stipe.
