Albanians and Greeks are so similar. If Albanians were all Orthodox or if Greece wasn't Orthodox Albania and Greece would be the strongest alliance. @vebdaklu well religion was actaully less practiced because there had been some cases where albanians were killed by the serbs for going to mosques. in the town of peje the subject of litterature was replaced by serbian. the serbians demanded that albanians learn serbian. its like they were trying to turn them from being albanian to serb. and about the kla thing trust me Serbia isint that poor and no matter how poor they would spend their money on that because they just hate albanians that much

ARVANITIS uses a Greek ending meaning 'ressembling" not found in Albanian. "rvanoi= Albanoi. There is NO other word. ArvanITIS is one "resembling" in some way the Albanians (in their case, the language).

"Arvanites" were the Greeks that spoke a dialect based in Albanian. In 1450 all of them came from Kastriotis army. In 1821 it could had been just any Greek that had worked for some time in the Ottoman Albanian-speaking army.

They were a Greek-Albanian (Toska) mix of only 80,000 people majorly Albanian speaking but with Greek consciousness. All that in 1450!!!! 400 years later in 1821 how can you claim them Albanian? These people spoke Arvanite dialect (an Albanian-Greek dialect NOT existing in Albania!) since they worked in the Ottoman army where the Albanian language was more heard than Turkish

Learn your history first before. Ipiros is a Greek name for a Greek land which your forefathers invaded (you write it in your own history). Your home might had been in Goumenisa if you are out of the 20,000 Tsamides (your grandparents were Nazi collaborator by the way?), but then some 350,000 Greeks have their homes in North Epirus, so really this discussion is not in your favour. Start a fight and the only you will do is lose half your country for breakfast.
It is however very funny that Albanians remembered "Arvanites" only after 1991 and their entance to Greece as financial immigrants.
It is even more funny that Arvanites never claimed to be Albanians but even when in Italy, Italians called them "Albanians" they insisted on being called Greeks. For the very simple reason that they were Greeks.
Most Arvanites were simply Greeks armatoloi who worked in the Ottoman militia where the official language was Albanian.
A modern Albanian would never understand an Arvanite for the very simple reason that the Arvanite dialect shares only a common Albanian base, but in fact it has a 50% Greek covabulary and uses solely Greek syntax grammar rules which are quite different to Albanian ones. For the very simple reason that these Greeks adopted the Albanian language as a foreign....

And yes it was im speaking of claims \by the council of europe thaqi was accused of selling organs back in 1999 to Serbs. @alb0zfinest In the US,unemployement is a way to keep people unsatified and scared,so you can control them more easily...they have heaps of cash...however,in Serbia,and Romania,unemployment is huge because the same capitalists from the US (and similar western countries) have came here and practicaly bought our companies for very low costs,and sold them for a high price,now we have nothing to work with,to make profit...and our government allows that,by making laws that make such things legal...

ARVANITIS uses a Greek ending meaning 'ressembling" not found in Albanian. "rvanoi= Albanoi. There is NO other word. ArvanITIS is one "resembling" in some way the Albanians (in their case, the language).
BUT you cannot have an Albanian ressembling an Albanian!!!
"Arvanites" were the Greeks that spoke a dialect based in Albanian. In 1450 all of them came from Kastriotis army. In 1821 it could had been just any Greek that had worked for some time in the Ottoman Albanian-speaking army.

I understand that arvanitas of today they feel and say they are greek,but i dont mean that,only thing i mean is that ther forfathers used to be albanian speaking orthodox,where i live in my town we have serbs and bosnian they live 200 y here,if u ask them they will tell you we are albanian,but they will not deny and i never deny that they forfathers are from serbia,my friend is a greek minority but he says am proud to be albanian it is his choise,you get the point?dont think so u r just blind.

RxAxF... Arvanites are a special group. They came from Northern Epirus at a time it was receiving an influx of Albanians. They were a Greek-Albanian (Toska) mix of only 80,000 people majorly Albanian speaking but with Greek consciousness. All that in 1450!!!! 400 years later in 1821 how can you claim them Albanian? These people spoke Arvanite dialect (an Albanian-Greek dialect NOT existing in Albania!) since they worked in the Ottoman army where the Albanian language was more heard than Turkish

It is however very funny that Albanians remembered "Arvanites" only after 1991 and their entance to Greece as financial immigrants.
It is even more funny that Arvanites never claimed to be Albanians but even when in Italy, Italians called them "Albanians" they insisted on being called Greeks. For the very simple reason that they were Greeks.
Most Arvanites were simply Greeks armatoloi who worked in the Ottoman militia where the official language was Albanian.

A modern Albanian would never understand an Arvanite for the very simple reason that the Arvanite dialect shares only a common Albanian base, but in fact it has a 50% Greek covabulary and uses solely Greek syntax grammar rules which are quite different to Albanian ones. For the very simple reason that these Greeks adopted the Albanian language as a foreign....
...there is absolutely no case of any Albanian living inside the Ottoman Empire wanting to become... a Greek (why? what was the gain?)
