Hitler first expanded to the german talking areas, then wanted to recover the Danzin corridor that they had before WW1 in the new "Poland" that came after WW1. After that Great Britan and France declared war on Germany. Germany invaded France, which had part of Africa, which the Italians wanted to get as well and which the British had too. After France was down, Hitler with Vichy ruled the French North african countries.

Also they could ahve attacked before when Hitler annexed Austria, did a military reform, rearmed Rennaria and invaded the Sudets. The defence pact with Poland was to prevent Germany from wanting to invade which failed and started the war. The US embargo over Japan was because at the time the Isolationist US was nnot alowed to support a country at war. Japan went to war, the US could not legaly trade with them.

I did make the claim, but I didn't think that you would dispute it. If you google "Ron Paul is a creationist," it gives you plenty of info, including video footage where Paul says that there isn't evidence of evolution. BTW, Paul thinks that public schools should be able to teach CREATIONISM, not just I.D. However, I brought up I.D. because creationism isn't even an issue anymore.

Actually, no, Dr. Paul is not an idiot. In fact, he was absolutely right. The Iraqi Army and Navy was largely destroyed during Desert Storm.
So, given that we had already largely destroyed their military, that the huge stockpiles of WMD were fiction, and that Al Queda wasn't present in the country at the time, he was absolutely correct in his assertion that Iraq was not a serious threat to the U.S.
Now, as for Saddam's defiance of the UN resolutions, that's a matter worth discussing.

Saddam did comply with the agreement and we said "we don't care we will invade you anyway". The war was Illegal in the context that it violated UN Law just as Iraq's invasion of Kuwait violated UN Law!!
The difference was there was no "Father" country to kick our ass the way Iraq was put in it's place in 1991!

Our interests have been under attack from the middle east since the Iranians took our embassy in 1979 and culminating in 9/11. We have gone on the offensive. But the liberals once again have proved how spineless they really are by opposing our aggressive stance against terrorism. I hate liberals and democrats because their views do nothing but aid the enemy.

@angrydoug Actually our first war on foreign soil was against the Barbary pirates in what would now be Somalia. Almost since our birth we have been fighting in that middle east.

You're talking about modern Libya, not Somalia. Our Marines invaded Tripoli to suppress the Barbary Pirates and it's now part of the Marine Corps Hymn. I don't see how it's relevant. What IS relevant is that we maintained a passive Middle East policy for 25 years that did nothing but allow our enemies to attack, attack and attack some more. The marine barracks in Beirut, the embassy in Beirut, embassies in Africa, the USS Cole, Khobar Barracks, then 9/11. WE need to be attacking now.

If we are going to be talking about the modern times then we really should be talking about Carter letting the crazies take over Iran. Then doing nothing while they took the US embassy. When Carter stood around with that ridiculous toothy grin saying, "Why can't we all get along?", the Muslim crazies saw it as America gone weak. The Turks tried to warn him, having been dealing with the crazies (long beards) for many years. But in the end, he allowed the seeds of terrorism to be sown. We paid the price on 9/11.

I am a Constitutionalist and a patriot. The Constitution and Bill of Rights are my evidence. It is my position that, this time, we have a central Gov't that has, over time, exercised powers not afforded them by the Constitution of the united States of America. In effect, our present federal gov't is unconstitutional and therefore all actions taken by said same is illegal. Or you can simply go with; Bush lied to congress regarding the threat Iraq poses. I will not go quietly either way.

I highly doubt that the terrorist issue can be solved by brute force, ur basically fighting extremist civil organizations that grow stronger the more widespread the hate for the west gets, and look at the facts, ur clearly unable to stabilize the situations in Afghanistan and Iraq...

I agree that killing our way to victory is not the answer. When I was there, we spent more time building stuff than shooting bad guys. We're on the right track, and doing things necessary to stabilize those countries, but it takes many, many years for that to happen.
