  • Needs more cowbell.

  • when you listen to power electronics harsh noise etc for the first time your brain should instantly reject what you're hearing. it's been conditioned since before you were borne to search for patterns and harmony and rhythm and to find comfort in those things. after a surprisingly short time you will find yourself able to break out of these constraints and every little sound you hear for the rest of your life in all your environments will sound like a new song and a new expression of existence

  • 1:34

  • i thought the stage was a table, when he walked in front of it i was like shit

  • glenonce

  • just a bunch of arrogant, self aggrandising jerks

  • @sidbolero I know, innit awesome?!

  • sexy

  • Most challenging band ive ever heard.

  • Whitehouse was boring and unoriginal when I first heard them 30+ years ago, and their work has not improved with age. It's still crap and easily dismissed.

  • Justin Bieber & David Guetta ripped off Whitehouse to make their noise

  • good "pop" tune...and we danced danced danced!

  • pure poo.

  • The lyrics in early whitehouse are fuckin joke and bare babyish it's joke

  • Please, where can I find the film "D.U.I." ?

  • is one of those guys peter sotos

  • I think every whitehouse fan is a sadist to some degree.

  • big shit

  • @manwithcam Reseda in the mid-80s was a cultural mecca for the valley, thank goodness. Got introduced to great punk bands and avant-garde bands thanks to Rich of BeBop and the Country Club

  • It is extremely hard to believe this is Reseda!!! As it is now a shithole. The Country Club btw, is now a church!!! I cannot wait to get the hell out of here......

  • @16NostalgicdreamS It was run down in the 80s, too. Grew up in Northridge in the 80s....finally escaped the clutches of SFV banality in 2004....I'll never live in a conventional suburb again...fuck that.

  • @abangthebeat Glad to hear you left! How is life outsdie of the valley?

  • look at willie go!

  • shit song

  • i prefer their funnier stuff...live they reminded me of Queen

  • excellent son !!

  • "My cocks on fire, ready for action!"

  • sooo good....nice moves!

  • Decades ahead of their time....

  • A pity they never got this sound intensity in the studio version.

  • A lot better than the studio version.

  • i feel love

  • catchy lil number innit?

  • i wonder where this was at in Reseda.

    that's my hometown area

  • @lotoball Same here, nothing cool really happens in Reseda nowadays.

  • @lotoball This was at Bebop records on Sherman Way right next to the Country Club

  • @naefspiel - wow. i was wondering if it was there.

I started going there in 85 / 86 to see shows.

  • @lotoball Reseda? She's nice.

  • punk as fuck!

  • NEVER MIND THE SEX PISTOLS, HERE'S WHITEHOUSE

  • I really wish i could hear the lyrics.

  • FUCKING AMAZING

  • this fucking kills

  • these guys should remix the next cheryl cole record

  • The chorus is bizarrely humorous... SHITFUUUUUUN!

    Whitehouse are great.

One of the only bands who can pull this off successfully.

    Cool pseudofascist symbol, too.

Do they have that on banners/armbands?

    It would fit.

  • @vaguelyhumanoid What symbols?

  • @glun

The bent, cross-like Come Org logo.

It's kind of like a swastika, but without all the historical racist baggage.

  • @vaguelyhumanoid Oh, when I got into Whitehouse they were already under Susan Lawly. Well, «under» is not the correct word, as they *are* SL. Or is, now.

  • @glun

Same here, but I looked it up.

  • SHITFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!

  • You don't have to say please, get down on your knees!

  • Fuck music! This is WHITEHOUSE!

  • shity quality, THE BEST!

  • This was the sound of my youth.

  • There's a feeling of safeness here. A little more of the G.G. Allin or Mark Pauline ethos would help.

  • Punker than punx.

  • is this a hole cover/?

  • this and pride (in the name of love) by u2 are my favourite fucking tunes

  • can you tell me who is the director of this film id like to see it

  • whitehouse is music.

  • @lookouthoney and noise is music. And Hitler is cool.

  • Sound was never quite the same when Whitehouse showed up. My hat's off to Bennett.

  • How can I see this movie?

  • to people saying this is not music, well durrrrfff

  • I'm so glad this is making so many people upset hahahaha!!

  • @lutherblissett3 Maybe that's the point of noise music, to be as loud and offensive as possible and to really deliver the true power of sound. To enjoy it you really do have to drop all normality. Music for the free minded. I can't listen to it all the time but when I do it's a amazing experience.

  • To me, even the harshest noise has to make some sense... Regarding Whitehouse's extreme noise/sex/fart terror, the irony is, they're still too human to express the pain and obscenity by throwing it all into the listeners' faces... To some degree I can say I 'respect' their crass attitude, but sound as they produce it, well everyone tries that thing every once and awhile. Just grab a mic, turn up the amplifiers and ask yourself: what's the point? ... and someone might even say it is 'art'.

  • well said

  • ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!

    ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss?

    0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000!

  • But if this is really artistic music to some then i guess it's just too artistic for me.

  • uh, I'm guessing english isn't your first language.

  • One day - in the future - a retrospective will identify the importance of Whitehouse as an artistic and social movement ...

Even if you do not like it at least give them credit for sticking at it for so many years (What? you did not know they had been active for nearly 30 years? Well you have no right to comment then)

  • @cyclothymic You gotta be shittin me...

  • get a bloody life this a music it's pants

  • is it true that whitehouse is no longer playing in America because i really want to see them live.

  • William's "moves" remind me of Freddie Mercury - is that intentional do you think? This is a fantastic bit of footage btw, thanks for posting...

  • luvly

  • Fondamentali...

  • Ah yes. . . A favorite of mine. . .

  • love this group shame they had to split

  • They didn't split.

  • I'm sure theres musical genius going over my head... and I'm open minded at all this sort of thing... but I honestly just hear feedback and see some tit striking poses and screaming.

  • "some tit striking poses and screaming." why does madonna spring to mind

  • Never could get into these guys...

  • Genesis P-Orridge hated them - and I can easily see why.

  • Genesis is a hippie

  • Awesome clip, thank you for sharing it.

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Que cabrones!!!!!!!!!! William y compañía.

    5 estrellas.

  • this is pretty shit though isnt it.

  • Quality....

  • HARSH!!!!

  • I betcha - that one of these guys drove a Scirocco - wow holy fuck I'm fairly speechless this is siiiic!

  • ShiiiitFuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hate when the gut-busting rumble is absent from Whitehouse recordings, but I'm still very glad to see this clip.

  • I wish I had been able to see them live during the 80's :/

  • I was actually at this show, it was at a place called BeBop Records, and I was 17. My friend Brad Laner (then of Debt of Nature, later of Medicine and Electric Company) had turned me on to them. This vid reflects a bit of the aural pain, and I really appreciated the dynamic simplicity of the visual presentation. Overall it was pretty astonishing.

  • Worst ever seen..Maddddd.......

  • Leg-ends in their own lunchtime. Check out Chav Stabber for more UK noise.

  • Those WASPS sure take and give a beating :) Great post.

  • Kreide versus Tafel! great!

  • REDRUM!

  • great cover of "Urgent" by Foreigner

  • I like how they always have to hunch over the synths like they're actually doing something...putting a brick down on the keys would give you the same effect.

  • I like how I can thumbs down people, its fun. Nothing personal, but they are not playing notes, they are turning knobs that control the noise.

  • LOL

ilove the way you say that

  • There was a Spanish industrial band that simply put a brick down called "Vagina Dentata Organ". Don´t know if they´re still active.

  • the smell of shit and the stench of death

  • wow, fucking great to see an early live action!

  • I went to a Vietnamese karoake bar that sounded exactly like this
