Buenos Aires tambien posee una gran parte de su pueblo sin instrucción, que al no querer su tierra, la llena de mugre, especula y destruye las construcciones creciendo sin orden alguno y contra sus propios habitantes, no cumple normas de convivencia...
Buenos Aires tiene algunos barrios modernos, pero no es una ciudad moderna...Todo su encanto reside en una arquitectura de época, bien preservada que seduce a los turistas. Y sus áreas verdes arboladas, que son muy presentes. Casi todas las ciudades modernas de Latinoamérica son copiadas del estilo norteamericano. Qué gracia tienen? Ademas, cuando Buenos Aires estaba en su apogeo, la mayoría de esas ciudades modernas, eran mas bien villorrios, de poco interés, excepto las coloniales.

Girls: there are lot of beutifull girls, you can walk on the street and you might fall in love jajaj it happened to me :P People: the people is very friendly, perhaps the mens are a little arrogant, but once you know them you will see they are excellent humans beings, and very funny. I'll have to say, Buenos Aires is very clean and has more of a European feel than Mexico City, yet Mexico City has more money, and impacts the world much more than Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires seems more first world than Mexico City in terms of safety and cleanliness where as Mexico City is much more modern yet dirtier, both cities don't have many slums compared to Lima or Rio. I've visited both cities many times

And I have lived there for much longer than your entire 16 years of age. GAL80s is right on every single point she has raised. I am in total and complete agreement with her assessments and arguments.

But then, my question to you would be this: if you live in Buenos Aires now, then as a young person wanting a change, then why don't you do something about it? No doubt, one of the best attactions a city has is its direct sea exit. Buenos Aires has this advantage, among other qualities, compared to other nice cities such as Mexico, Santiago or Bogotá. I can only add, Buenos Aires is beautiful.
Mexico city is a slum compared to buenos aires. Buenos Aires is the best city in latin america. I know because the property is expensive in the city, and that means many people want to live there. @gal80s You can not compare American Public Housing to the Villa Miserias of BA. I grew up poor. I grew up in a 1 bedroom New York City apartment. My parents had jobs so they couldn't get government housing. I know what poverty is about. But, poverty is also relative. I am very lucky that I lived in the ghetto here in the USA and not there in Argentina. An American ghetto would be PARADISE for a villero.

@xadiko69 It is not a matter about which city is better - Mexico City or Buenos Aires. They are completely different. I visited Mexico City only once and I found it interesting because of its history, etc. But my visit there was back in 1982 so it is a long time ago. Buenos Aires on the other hand, I have visited many times and I absolutely love it. It is so beautiful and energetic, magnetic even; and with that European feel. So it is a personal choice I think, and mine is Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires tiene algunos barrios modernos, pero no es una ciudad moderna...Todo su encanto reside en una arquitectura de época, bien preservada que seduce a los turistas. Y sus áreas verdes arboladas, que son muy presentes. Casi todas las ciudades modernas de Latinoamérica son copiadas del estilo norteamericano. Qué gracia tienen? Ademas, cuando Buenos Aires estaba en su apogeo, la mayoría de esas ciudades modernas, eran mas bien villorrios, de poco interés, excepto las coloniales.

Girls: there are lot of beutifull girls, you can walk on the street and you might fall in love jajaj it happened to me :P People: the people is very friendly, perhaps the mens are a little arrogant, but once you know them you will see they are excellent humans beings, and very funny. I'll have to say, Buenos Aires is very clean and has more of a European feel than Mexico City, yet Mexico City has more money, and impacts the world much more than Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires seems more first world than Mexico City in terms of safety and cleanliness where as Mexico City is much more modern yet dirtier, both cities don't have many slums compared to Lima or Rio. I've visited both cities many times

I have friends all over the city and I have to tell you, that there is a special something anywhere you go in that beautiful city. But then, my question to you would be this: if you live in Buenos Aires now, then as a young person wanting a change, then why don't you do something about it? Gather a group of young people with ideals and desire to do something, and start a grass-root project. All on your own. The media will get word of your efforts and I am sure the politicians will too. You will feel satisfied that you are doing something proactive

@dicf21 Estoy de acuerdo con vos, debe ser cierto que Buenos Aires, más de 10 edificios de vidrio no tiene. Buenos Aires se ha quedado con mucho del estilo europeo de 1800.Pero en cuanto a edificios la modernidad o no también está según el punto de vista de cada quien, porque en países desarrollados de Europa, no se interesan en construir inmensos rascacielos, para no romper con lo tradicional, asique los rascacielos no siempre son sinónimo de la única modernidad.

No doubt, one of the best attactions a city has is its direct sea exit. Buenos Aires has this advantage, among other qualities, compared to other nice cities such as Mexico, Santiago or Bogotá. I can only add, Buenos Aires is beautiful.

Mexico city is a slum compared to buenos aires. Buenos Aires is the best city in latin america. I know because the property is expensive in the city, and that means many people want to live there. Buenos Aires is the most European and clean city in Latin America, its probably better life than many american cities

@gal80s You can not compare American Public Housing to the Villa Miserias of BA. I grew up poor. I grew up in a 1 bedroom New York City apartment. My parents had jobs so they couldn't get government housing. I know what poverty is about. But, poverty is also relative. I am very lucky that I lived in the ghetto here in the USA and not there in Argentina. An American ghetto would be PARADISE for a villero.

Sorry to burst your bubble here, but homelessness is at an all time high in our USA, and there is not enough housing for those seeking it, nor shelters to accommodate families, couples and single folks. The drug gangs continue to take over the "ghettos" (subsidized housing), and we do not have enough police to monitor and much less curb this situation. The inalienable rights of a human being are: food, shelter, medical care, education. Covering basic needs. This is a problem in Argentina, sure. But here in our USA (the richest nation . . . ), every day more of our citizens (many seniors and children), go hungry, have no shelter, and surely have no medical coverage. Basic needs we as a nation are NOT MEETING.

@tulte133 estuviste aca? buueno son gustos esta bien, en mi opinion no es ninguna copia a europa ya que es una mezcla, a vos te gustan mas la ciudad con grandes edificios pero eso funciona en algunas ciudades, imaginate por ej. a paris o a amsterdam con rascasielos al lado de las zonas bajas y todo mezclado seria horrible. Y no es una simil para nada solamente el centro si uno se mueve se va adar cuenta que nada que ver, vos viste caminito?, bueno puerto madero es una exepcion, nuñez, etc.

@xadiko69 It is not a matter about which city is better - Mexico City or Buenos Aires. They are completely different. I visited Mexico City only once and I found it interesting because of its history, etc. But my visit there was back in 1982 so it is a long time ago. Buenos Aires on the other hand, I have visited many times and I absolutely love it. It is so beautiful and energetic, magnetic even; and with that European feel. So it is a personal choice I think, and mine is Buenos Aires.
