The SSC Ultimate Aero doesn't have ABS either, and it goes in the neighborhood of 260 mph, some racing cars don't have ABS either. See, consumer reports compared the Viper to other cars with ABS, if you were to count the Viper in a class of cars with drums, you would see that its brakes are actually pretty damn good. But still, that driver didn't pump them.
@rayzian best move here would be clutch in and brake, not downshift. If you really wanted to push it, heel toe shifting might more effective, but your actual brakes will slow your car much faster than your engine any day.
@MrFreshDougie err that's what i meant, to heal toe.. to brake while engine braking is much more effective (which is what saved my ass so many times)... hitting the clutch and pressing the brakes will just cause the wheels to lock which is what happened here

@DarkProPower Problem with these cars is that they don't have anti-lock brakes so if the driver isn't very good they are going to either fly off the road or stop when they hit something like this poor guy. I've seen crashes a couple times also. One where the guy was showing off for his girlfriend and almost went into a ravine and the other at a club event. He just got his GTS and went too hot into a corner, slid through it and into a curb. He destroyed the front of the car. Sadly, a write off.

@DarkProPower Problem with these cars is that they don't have anti-lock brakes so if the driver isn't very good they are going to either fly off the road or stop when they hit something like this poor guy. I've seen crashes a couple times also. One where the guy was showing off for his girlfriend and almost went into a ravine and the other at a club event. He just got his GTS and went too hot into a corner, slid through it and into a curb. He destroyed the front of the car. Sadly, a write off.
