i checked out this video because i saw a cheap michael kelly guitar on ebay, but the sound in this clip, despite the inspired playing, did not convince me. thanks for the great clip, it helped me with my final decision.

You took my comment the wrong way.I also have every guitar known to man basically.All I am saying is if you thought about buying one of these,but didn't based on this video-too bad for you,because these are sweet guitars at a fraction of the price.I could buy 5 patriots for the price of my Les paul custom,or the price of my ESP KH-2 or many of the others I have.I play my Patriot Premium more than any other guitar I own.I was just trying to help a fellow guitar player.Sound quality is bad on vid.

I love MK. I'm buying the glory (Mostly for the Rockfield SWCs :P) I personally love the tone, and the thing is more playable than a PRS!

Too bad they canceled the Hex and Vex series' though.

I guess they cancelled the Hex and the Vex,but alot of Michael Kelly dealers still have them,new and in stock.I almost bought one,until I played the Patriot Premium.If you want one of those,I know you can still get them new.

regarding the 'awful tone'. not sure it's that awful. just an average recording. what do you expect on youtube? focusrite compressors?ssl desks? as for the playing...all the right notes...but not much feel or soul....i think maybe somebody should kidnap your hamster for the weekend...then we'd hear some pain & suffering in your blues!

Hi Robert, have been following you for a while now.. and enjoy your vids immensely.. your tone really belongs with the strat and tele.. your a blues player with that single coil snap sound.. they patriot is too metal sounding even playing blues..

hi Robert! this is the first time you play something alike a les paul (at least at your videos jejeje) you are a single coil player... ¿but why don't you try this MK Patriot more frequently? your playing sounds good through les paul style! :D

Awesome tone. You're great. I'm you fan for a long time. Saw this video at guitar hero, but i think you should have played the strat there. You do much better playing the strat. your left hand is made for the stratocaster neck and you get everything from single pickups. Anyway , you're still great!
