Switching the back tire for a regular bike tire, although making it look much less cool, would reduce rotational mass and unsprung weight, this would increase acceleration and efficiency.

It should wheelie at 1000W from that sudden torque , but it's like you're beeing pushed by a kid ... And the speed , where is it ? At any petrol engine people talk about the "electric engine feel " that u don't get at diesel , that wanna push u off the seat ... where it that one here ? Nice looking ( needs finishing of course ) but u gonna work at the speed and torque

cool, may i suggest to replace the back wheel with a thinner and lighter wheel, it will improve your speed and battery life

rear wheel conversion was a waste of time.. the added weight from that wheel will only slow the bike

its not a waste of time b/c you can take advantage of the gears rather than a cheap hub motor. i drive my ebike like a stick shift. 8th gear gets me @ 45mph using 36v motor and 80 amp controller.
