man , fuck paying £50 for a peice of shit like that aftercooler ! i bought myself 2x 60mm fans , cut 2 holes inthe shroud and superglued the fans onto it , crysis now runs at 66c max from 110c with stock cooling with 70% less fan noise ,
hi can you tell me say your runing a game what temp do you get compared to the old cooler. thinking of getting x2 of these or should i go for watercooling
A major issue with these cards is the VRM temp. Even watercooling can't keep it below 80sC as far as i know (search for an exact model of WCblock overview to make sure you are not going to waste your money).
Pretty much. Thermal grease was old and very dry, so I was almost tearing it off. But really check all the screws!!! My last one was found under the warranty sticker, and I had a chance to break the baby until I finally gave up trying to take it apart and started to search for the last screw!
CM690 on the video, but i am not sure if it is 'advanced 2'. With my case i have about half-an-inch left between the tail of the cooler and my hdd cart(casing, rack call it as you want, i mean the thing where all hdds are mounted). The pity thing is even though i've moved to 2.5 SSD i can't remove the hdd rack because it is sealed not screwed. So double check the length first if you edition of cm690 is different to mine.
temps?

When taking off the stock cooler (after all screws are taken out) how much force did you have to use to pry it off?

NICE :D i wish theyd make that cooler the stocke cooler lol does it add much Length to the actual card?
adamknox 2 years ago
It adds about an inch or so. Half an inch is added by a sink and half an inch more 3 heat pipes.
