I don't for the life of me understand why these guys didn't hit it big in the States. They went from Sire to Harvest to MCA to Polydor. Certainly somebody from one of these labels should have been paying attention here.

Pete FornatelL (sp) on WNEW FM 102.7 in NYC introduced this song to me in the late 70's, and I have owned the LP - then the CD - of Time Honoured Ghosts ever since. BJH are NOT a "big noise" in rock history - but they are one of my absolute favorites of all time! Titles is a masterpiece... plain and simple. Nobody who ever hears it does NOT fall in love with the song!

Yes*** Marisha4sure, what a pity Woolly was not so much there in Amsterdam = Great Single John Lees did it well, Les Holroyd not at all, but Woolly (january 1976 and still is over there, but over here also in Belgium)....Woolly (the former bacer) was quitten in 1979.

every song they made was a hommage to some other band as they struggled to make it on their home soil of England but they fitted a niche that only BJH could fit thus BJH became something of a cult band, loved or loathed. I raise a glass to them because from their struggles came some great music. RIP Mel from the boy on the red Yamaha and long live the music they gave us.

I first heard this song on an SAS flight from Copenhagen to Chicago last month. It was on their '70s On Demand music channel. Never heard of the song or band before, but must have listened to the song 20 times during the flight. Fell instantly in love with it! Hard to find track that is not on iTunes. Thanks for posting!

It's from a former TV-programme called *Avro's Top Pop* back in 1976 on the Dutch Television. This wonderful song had climbed up to the 9th place back then in January 1976...
