Electric cars will be great one day. America has a known 200 year supply of oil. Gasoline is cheap and easy. Most power plants in the US are coal fired. Nuclear is cleaner but drives the tree huggers crazy too. Finding out how to harness the full spectrum of solar would solve it all. Or bottle up the power that causes lightening.
