yeah, the plane won but clearly unfairly the plane was alot lower when it went for the up mile but when it was horizontall again it was still miles up.

The plane should have had a regulation on how low it needs to come with out been to dangerous obviously but to make it fair because the car didn't have the power of gravity to pull it down on the cars return mile :)

I work at the place where this was filmed, I didn't see the race, but I work with a number of people who did, and they say a number of runs between the Typhoon and the Bugatti. The end of the race was a bit staged as in the real races from a standing start, the Veyron wasn't even close.

paddle-shift gearbox cars are da best for plane races as with a proper manual, you need to use the clutch alot. with an automatic, you have less acceleration. so if you ask me, choose a paddle-shift car as you only have the brake and throttle pedal and not the clutch, ok?

I wonder if they warmed up the bugatti engine before they ran it. I think If the driver was a pro it might have shaved off that 0.5 of a second to tie or beat the jet , however that defeats the purpose of the race, the idea being that anyone off the street can get into this car and beat a jet. Oh well this is one of the best races in history. TOP GEAR rules. wonder if I can get a job.

à 407km/h , s'il étais parti en dérapage à 180° deux options aurais été possible

1) soit les pneus n'aurait pas survécue a l'adhérence a une telle vitesse et alors il se serais désintegrer et la veyron aurais terminer la course sur ses jantes

2) soit a cause de la vitesse exercer les pneus aurais perdu l'adhérence du sol a 407km/h et alors la veyron serais devenu incontrolable et aurais fini dans le fossé !

conclusion les dérapages a 180° degrée à plus de 400km/h on tente pas
