  • I think it's kind of funny that the Dynamat probably cost more than the car itself :)

  • Omg! Super Hot punk chick!

  • Sorry keep up the good work

  • Stop hating ..everyone when you first started your car audio ..your shit was not the best..this reminds me how far I've been in the car audio scene..that's how its starts one upgrade at a time. Yes I have ideas that would make her car/ bug better but ..im not going to tell her .....or him how not to do it.....but give her information to help her out.!! Fu haters

  • that's the fake dynamat i use almost same car looks really rough.

  • That's definitely the knockoff brand of dynamat called fatmat.

  • cute girl.

sound deaden the rest of the car and you should be quiet happy!

    enjoy.

  • i could hit that

  • do the back, facing the engine, wheel wells, that well really make it quiet

  • @inagod The sound deadener I bought would be really wasted in the wheel wells, it seems made for interior projects. I don't think it would withstand the elements and rocks and such in wheel wells. I'm also not sure how well it would stand against engine heat on the firewall.

  • @sillylittlegoth they make one thats a spray thats more gummy taht you can put under the chassis and the wheel wells and stuff that works awesome

  • @sillylittlegoth

the back of the car on the inside...

  • @sillylittlegoth I think they meant on the inside of the car...

  • i think once i get a car im going to fatmat the roof and trunk just so my sound system will sound 40000 times better

  • nice, now u should do behind the seats and doors =D

  • @lumberjackj I would do just that, only I'm trying to sell the car now, so it's not really worth it for me =P

  • @sillylittlegoth

    @sillylittlegoth

just did my doors with Peel and Seal, also got some Fatmat, and its looks to be identical and made a HUGE difference!

    PS-Orange cars rock! =D

  • @lumberjackj nice! Orange cars do rock!

  • nice hair

  • @xxxbob3391 haha thanks, I miss it, it's boring now, half natural color and half blond.

  • wow, huge difrence...I'm definatly gona try that.

have a 72 baja v-dub super...its way to loud. depending on how well it works for me I might actualy want to install a sound system ^^

  • @viatus i think that my floor would need some sort of deadener as well (and probably the doors, and behind the quarter panels inside) before I'd attempt any kind of quality sound system, but even just helping out the rear tray and the roof helped tons. i think a full interior cover would be ideal, and with the 50sqft roll i bought, i probably could cover most of that. i had plenty to spare after the ceiling and package tray.

  • thats not dynamat

  • @Marweezy91 omg i'm a fucking idot hahahah! i wrote fatmat and SAID dynamat =P can't believe i didn't realize that till now. thanks!

  • Whatever I said I got is what I got, I bought it through their ebay page and I can confirm from the logo on the stuff. I did my best cleaning the room, there were lots of weird fibers leftover from the insulation mat that used to be on it =( I couldn't find anything that I could wipe it off with (paint thinner didn't work) and it was an odd place to scrape. Must've been a really good adhesive!

  • thank you for using good sound deadener and not using Peel and Seel, but its not Dynamat, I think thats Ram Mat. Nice test, I hope you cleaned the roof before applying it!

  • how come you didn't cover in the back where the engine and tires are? Because that has to be most of where the sound comes from right?

  • what do you mean? in the engine compartment and in the wheel wells? it's not insulation, the heat from the engine would probably make the stuff peel off. i covered inside the package tray instead (so the other side of the firewall). the wheel wells seems like a waste, this car isn't a luxury vehicle. I'll probably be putting more around the inside though.

  • you look like a girl who would drive a beetle how much of that 50sqft did you use

  • haha thanks. i'm not sure, i still have a ton left that will go behind the door panels and probably in my dad's diesel jetta if he wants it. i think i estimated needing about 20sqft originally?

  • Cool bug . I have a 74 super beetle i have been wanting to deaden. it has aftermarket headlights running h4 and h3 bulbs ,nice and bright. it also has 2 8 in subs a pioneer deck ,4 infinity 6 1/2s for the highs. these cars are so much fun ,but mine does need sound deadener. cool car cool vid and i like your hair.

  • koo thanks for the reply

  • is the fat mat still holdin good hit me up

  • yeah, it admittedly got a little peely during the heat of the summer, but i'm not really worried about it. being in New England, that shouldn't be a huge issue. i think i might add some heat insulation (thin as i can find) over it before i put in the headliner.

  • There is nothing more sexy than a pretty girl working on a baja bug...

  • It's a Baja Bug, it's SUPPOSED to be loud! :)

  • yeah but i'm probably going to have a cheap sound system! =P

  • I don't deal with ebay-- too easy to get burned on deals, but that's another story... when I do get it, I'm planning on just doing the package tray area, since I have a 1915cc motor...

  • Well I can tell you where I got it from, definitely was a good transaction, good deal, and they have good feedback. Package tray is a good call, we did that after these videos, but I didn't get to start the engine up due to some troubles we're having. Hopefully I'll get to hear it in the next few weeks though! That will definitely make a huge difference.

  • The only problem is, that stuff is damned expensive... I bought 12 square feet to put in my Bug and it cost me about 70 bucks... of course, someone broke into my garage and stole it before I could install it! Grrrrrrr....

  • i got 50 sq ft for $60! check it out on ebay, much better prices than what you got!

  • sweet
