I am puzzled, if she is drawn in by that dance they are performing then why keep it around? Why not stop it, but I am curious according to that story she was simply dancing till people freaked out, then she freaked and ran.. Sorry but that does not strike me as an evil spirit, maybe I missed something. I do need to get back in touch with my Cherokee roots I guess...

@ThatAverageMike nope it isnt the dance that attracted her. none of the dances should bring evil spirits in. they show up on their own. she freaked out because everyone around her noticed her. its her trick to fool you and your eyes make you wonder off way out there where nobody can find you. and her looks can do the trick. a very beautiful native girl, and to help you out a bit the 5 civilized tribes are in oklahoma. mostly cities/towns.. check out the northwest and southwest the real rez's

Well, I don't want to say in public here. I just talked to a guy about Deer Woman recently too when I went to a funeral of a Chickasaw man. I've never seen one, but I have had many sightings of deer in places they normally shouldn't bee. About a month or so ago I saw a deer off the highway for example, while driving with my friend. The doe was on a grassy embarkment and I felt sad for it because it's not a safe place for it to be. I've seen deer near downtown OKC too. LOL

I know someone (Well, actually my ex) who told me about deer woman and little people. He said he saw the little people himself. He told me a lot of stories of what he's seen and what others (like his family or friends) seen. Could be real. Never wanna see myself though :/
