@TehRecluse try the rubber band trick. put a thick rubberband in the hole and use your torx to remove it..I had the same issue with a controller a while back and it worked
@xDIRTYSOUTHx I ended up supergluing the torx to the screw very carefully and waited for it to dry then got it undone that way, thanks anyway though :)
@TehRecluse lol NICE! I've tried that in the past for another project but I think the super glue i was using was expired or something..glad you got it taken care of!
so im trying to do the peny trick on my 360 and a couple of outer T9 sized screws are stripped, some of them are like in a hole you know, so how would i repair that?
@shinobimanexe First off but a repair kit off ebay. They sell for about $3 and come with washers, plastic spacers, and thermal grease. You might be able to try the rubberband trick. place a rubberband in the hole or on top of the screw and then try and slowly torx it out. If its not a motherboard screw then just cut the metal around the screw.
those faggs in microsoft stripped mines... i got the rig of death, this time i oppend it myself becouse i was out of warranty and guess what, teh idots had stripped them bad! BASTARDS
Just a dremel rotary tool? I'm searching up on Sears and Home Depot and I find all sorts of kits and stuff. As long as it's a dremel rotary tool, it's fine, right? Sorry. Never heard of a dremel tool until I saw this vid, and this method of removing stripped screws seems to be the cheapest and easy to do and I would like to do it this way.
Thank you!!!!!!!! This worked!!!!

@trigun989 you can try and use the rubberband trick. place one over the screw while trying to remove it. It might get some grip.
