That is interesting... Because I knew NOTHING about this band other than they did a split with Bright Eyes. But when I saw them live at the American Eagle festival it was THIS SONG that made me freak out and dance. I listen to it almost daily now and Boring is the last word I would use to describe it.

An old 335TDC, through a VoxAC30. He uses a lot of pedals too. Most notably the Holy Grail (Reverb) and A Memory Man+, ect...

But he spent a lot of time getting this sound. Rather than picking up similar gear you may want to try experimenting with lots of gear to develop your own sound.

Yeah, I thought this song was a little high in RS' list until I saw some of the songs above it. Why are so many rap artists included? No offense to anyone who likes the genre, but there isn't a great deal of musical artistry involved, and the songs mentioned are highly unlikely to stand the cruel test of time.
