Do you wonder why the world thinks so ?

Perhaps it is for universities like Liberty, Temple and Regent and people like Bill O'Reilly, Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell.

They cause irrepairable damage to the once-proud USA.

I love Regent! i can't wait to go to school there. Oh and anirband, that's rude. Especially to people who go there. Some colleges I don't like but not everyone who goes there is a "retard". I respect your opinion though, just be careful how you use it.

@16oceangirl Am sorry for speaking like that but frankly I don't have much respect for a Tier four religious school. And I can't see any reason why anyone would want to study there with so many good schools around. Is it because its cheap???

@anirband It is a good school. It's cheap but it's not like really cheap. I like it here because it's a very secure campus, I have incredibly good professors and I feel like that this is where I was called to be.

Like, if I'm trying to get a job at, say, the RAND Corp and I have a BA from Regent in political science, will they hire me over someone who has a BA in poli sci from Georgetown who has the same amount of experience as me?

I don't know, but Virginia just elected a governor with a Regent degree in Public Policy. Regent is taken seriously by those who share its worldview and perhaps more so by those who disagree with its worldview. The education is top notch, but keep in mind that anything associated with Pat Robertson will generate controversy. In my case, the Regent degrees have served me well.

It's awesome, but it's soooo far! My sister is thinking about going to this University...It's amazing to go to a Christian University, I'm saying it cause I'm at a "regular" one :)

There online program is ranked no. 2 in the nation. They have excellent programs available.
