As I explore Paganism I feel the positive emotion return to me. When I was a child I loved solitude, nature, and the wind. The first time the Great Spirit revealed itself to me was through a beautiful breeze on a windless day. I never was able to place a name on what I felt and my soul starved in mainstream religion. Now, I am home :-) And no one had to tell me where it was. . . I just came back.
i knew i was dif at the age of 8. Luckely i have a mother that supported my search. when i found no comfort in any of the "traditional" ways, she was nice enough to take me to a book store and bought me what ever books i wanted. So thank you to my christain mother for letting me find my own way to The Lord and The Lady. I search but some how it still found me :)
I was found the same way! I knew I was different but when I grew up there wasn;t much to be found on paganism or wicca. then one day I found a couple books and I was at home at last! I am so happy with this! the christian religion didn't make sene to me at all! now I have found my music and am completely happy! BLESSED BE!
Please whoever wrote n sang this let me knoww if you have your songs especially green man on cd, id be willing to pay, for a few copies for myself n some wiccan n druid friends. Im in love with this song and the one with the words, how can you say that the way that we prayed it was wrong. Blessed be luv it. Xo
I concur, I have always been of the wood and meadow even when I was trying different spiritual paths. I relate to Pagan and Native American spiritual paths better than Christian but still retain a great deal of teachings from the great Christian teachers: Christ, St. Francis and similar.I guess I am a Christo-Pagan. Blessed be and I am very much a Greenman Spiritually, good song.
its something your born with cant be taught i am half iris and follow the paths or druid norse and egyptian paths churh made me feel empty when i decided to be what i felt my life felt whole
@timmye00 Sorry, but no... Paganism is a wide term that means any religion that's not a monotheistic one. It does not mean Wicca exclusively, though Wicca is a Pagan religion. You really should do your homework before you decide to throw your lot in with any religion, sir or madame. Especially if you want to blatantly call someone ignorant with your own ignorant views. It just makes you look foolish.
@Creelian Im just reading all the comments and sharing music here..... I gotta say, I learned something NEW today!..lol I did not know the word Pagan wasn't really referring to Wicca exclusivity either :/ I ...lol I was always just throwing around the term too!..lol well good to know now!.. :) Thanks!
im a born Jew and i just came across this religion i thought 'i like to study other religions' so i did and now i whant to be wiccan i love the commandments and being apart of nature!
I loved this - if it's on cd, I'd buy it! As for becoming pagan/witch I think many people stumble around slightly lost, until they pick up the thread of their pagan lives, and then, pow! It all makes sense. Once a witch, always a witch, as the old saw goes.
It's refreshing to hear a song about the God for once. I love the goddess, but the God deserves tribute as well. Very well written and sung. Bright Blessings to you. :)
Beautifully done...Is this an original? and if so Would you mind me using your lyrics? I would change it to Gaelic tho, but still credit you with the songwriting
Skyswinger, I would have to agree with you. I was raised in church and I all ways felt dufferent. then in 7th grade I found my first book on Witchcraft and I studyed untill i was in my late teens. Then I realised this is me. Ive study paganism for 17 years now and have been practicing for 10 of them. I look at my self back then and think, this is why you were different. Pagan Pride )O(
@witchsbrew269 Grew up in a very Christian household, thankfully my mother was tolerant of me researching other religions. After a year or two of researching all kinds of world religions. I decided I was more closely related to paganism than anything else. Not Wiccan, mind, but pagan. I believe faith is your own bit. No one else should have say in ANY way on what you believe. It comes from that powerful place in your heart. It has no name, it has no title, and it's yours to use.
@witchsbrew269 I too was raised in a catholic environment. I felt out of place and it was awkward for me to sit in a church. I met someone who woke me up and made me realize that the reason I was uncomfortable was because I was I was not doing what I felt was right. That was when I realized i was pagan..
I once read that people dont become pagan, they just one day awake and realise that they always have been. I have to say that whenever I am in contact with anything pagan I feel something so powerful stirring inside me, something so positive and beautiful.
@Skyswinger I saw the following not because I disagree with you or want to start a fight, but just to point out something interesting. Most every religion says more or less the same thing, just substituting pagan in your comment for anything else...
@ookibaka Most religions are indoctrinated into children. The poisonous lies are puked from the adults mouth into the poor childrens ears before they get to an age of critical thinking. I cant say I know many pagans but from my experiences none do that. I myself dont believe in any deity but when I researched paganism I found myself saying yes yes, this is exactly how I feel. I pitty anyone who finds the abrahamic faiths positive and beautiful. Saying that, I do hear what you are saying.
@Skyswinger i understand what you are talking about, but i am not exactly like you, my story is different, i was born into a family of Pagans, my mother passed things down to me, i made my own traditions and she helps me so much, i love it when people are open to wiccan/pagan belifes, it gives me a chance to tell them, what we really do, that we dont worship a 'devil,' that we love Mother Earth and we invoke the elements to give us power and love, im thanking you
Can't find this wonderful song anywhere. Can someone please tell me the name of the artist or where can I find it? Thank you!
