in my opinion, the top 10 are: 10-Com Air 9-Arik Air 8-Air Mauritus 7-Tunis Air 6-Air Algerie 5-Royal Air Maroc 4-Kenya Airways 3-Egypt Air 2-South African Airways 1-Ethiopian Airlines My opinion is based on personal experience and a few skytrax reviews I feel ethiopian airlines has one of the best safety records in africa, great, expanding fleet, friendly crew and their also after it joined the star alliance, seems as though they are really going foward.

It was hijacked and recently a mysteriously foul play in Lebanon brought it out of the air. Lebanese officials are muffling investigation as we speak. Its the oldest in Africa and one of the oldest in the world. You can't beat experience. Its truly an excellent airline all Africans should be proud of.

Royal Air Maroc has many destinations but they don't have civilized educated hostess. Not all of them are dumb, but I experienced bad customer care service. By African standards, yes it's good.

In 20009 I went to buy gold in Sierra-Leon in West Africa. It was my first trip to that part of the world, and I chose RAM to go to Africa, because it has no record of theft or abuse. Just at JFK first, the plane was not on time, but that was not a big deal

Then she returned back to look at me as if nothing happened. The only thing I saw great was Moroccan people in that plane, they were kinda civilized, quite people, but their Airline service is not.

@Marocairforce Kenya Airways, Nigerian’s are thieves ( no security for your assets ) Rwanda Air is emerging with new big jets and very good service but still small. Egypt Air has hygienic problem. Royal Morocco could be the best on the African continent, only after they improve in service and punctuality. I don’t want to mention that in our way back from Sierra Leone to Casablanca, RAM had many passengers than seats, and those African Lebanese women were cursing all the way to Morocco.

@kirundo1 The only good memory of that trip was Moroccan folks who flew with me that day. I really don’t know any thing about Moroccan behaviors, but those who flew with me from JFK to Casablanca were by all standards the well behaved African passengers. In all my experience with African passengers, West Africans have character and personality deficit, Not all of them but many.

@Marocairforce Kenya Airways, Nigerian’s are thieves ( no security for your assets ) Rwanda Air is emerging with new big jets and very good service but still small. Egypt Air has hygienic problem. Royal Morocco could be the best on the African continent, only after they improve in service and punctuality. I don’t want to mention that in our way back from Sierra Leone to Casablanca, RAM had many passengers than seats, and those African Lebanese women were cursing all the way to Morocco.

I really don’t know any thing about Moroccan behaviors, but those who flew with me from JFK to Casablanca were by all standards the well behaved African passengers. In all my experience with African passengers, West Africans have character and personality deficit, Not all of them but many.

zimbabwe mite b a crappy country and government crap,but the airline hospitality is great and ACTUALLY SAFE.-no crash from 1980 to 2009.last year there were just problems at beijing airport wen an air zim cargo plane crashed at takeoff.but i gotta say ETHIOPIAN and South A frican are great as i actually use them from my overseas trips rather than the fancy foreign country aIRLINERS.Any way by boarding on them i get a chance to pass through ethiopia and S.A.

An Ethiopian airline is the only airlines that connect Africa. It has 47 destinations in Africa continent, which is the highest destination ever and created in 1945 also owned by 100% by Ethiopian people.
