@bagepeeny You are correct, America most likely has Nuclear weapons hidden but wishes to disable every other country from having them so that they are the only super power. Also the American military is considerably large and powerful so it would be very tough to bring them down even if all the communist countries pooled together once America begins to abuse their power, Korea is one of the only "free" countries as they aren't controlled by anyone but themselves and the U.S. hates that.

I study psychology, and the list of complexes for kim jong is huge, this isn't to say bush or howard when they were in were any good, in fact they were a laughing stock, even to their own people. the difference is that kim jong would punish anyone who made a joke at his expense.

@bagepeeny Russia and China helped in the korean war they are equally responsible, Russia and China havn't had the need to use a nuclear weapon. Note South Korea asked for help. I will agree that the U.S has done some wrong but they have generally done what any other country in it's position would have done. Note South Korea would of cared if they would of been invaded by the north and obliged into accepting a way of life they have never agreed to and didn't even have the chance to vote on it.

While I abhor the horrendous abuses committed by the North Korean regime against its people, I can't see how language like "axis of evil" helps matters, except in assisting Bush by creating another devil for Americans to be frightened of. It's a complicated matter, and simplistic solutions won't help.

All I can think about is those poor humans beings who are life long residents of North Korea's concentration camps. I have heard the horrible stories of those whom have escaped. I would love for North Korea to open its borders and allow their families in the South to be reunited with their love one's. I dont care as much about Kim Jong Ill but, I do care about his people.
