  • how much did it cost to build (without all the radio control stuff)?

  • Oh my god, such a wonderful model. The detail, everything perfect. I'm blown away.

Noted somone asked about the gun detail, may I sugest a laser pointer? Though how you'd go about making this remotely operated I can't think.

  • that is one of the best dalek reproductions that I have seen!!!

  • I cant believe that someone hasnt paid you to produce a bunch of these! DADDIE I WANT A DALEK! I WANT ONE NOW!!

  • is it motd and taxed

  • nice work, well done

  • This is bloody brilliant.

  • you should build loads of them then have them all going down the streets like an invasion :P that would be awesome

  • @LonesomePine369 no because its costly

  • @cowman850 i was joking....

  • Better than the original quality wise. Brilliant! Brought back memories and thoughts of finding a sofa to hide behind. :)

  • just curious do you know any one selling a nsd dalek cheers chris

  • WOAH! i want it! =D

  • I wanna see the guy try and clamp that at the roadside!

  • Beware the "Dalek builders guild" would be a perfect cover for the Daleks. Imagine fans unwittingly building the next army!

  • That's the perfect dalek design!

I've dreamt of building one but never done it, you got that spot on.

  • It looks wonderfully crafted, you've done a great job reproducing the original ones.

The old gun-metal grey daleks are much more sinister looking than the new gold ones :-)

  • Does it have road tax..

  • This would have to freak out kids and adults everywhere in "live" situations... :) I know I'd love to see a Dalek wandering down the street towards me... I think half of me would want to run the other way! :)

  • Stunning, just stunning!!

  • Have a look at 'Project Dalek' and 'The Dalek Builders' Guild'. You'll find what you're looking for there. :)

  • can u get instructions to build one?

    if so where from?

if u can get other designs from the instructions id be happy!

  • where do u get instructions?

  • DO want!!!

  • you should've amde a suit instead

  • If you read the description, it says that Genie can be controlled externally or internally with an operator, so I think they meant that you CAN get into it. That would be really cool to see.

  • Yes, pretty cramped in there but no different to any other Dalek. The only difference to being Radio Controlled is you get movement in the gun and plunger arm which extends to twice it's length. You're also unlikely to spin her up unless you're mad!

  • how much did it cost to build?

  • two and a half years!

  • Exterminate all traffic wardens! Exterminate! EXTERMINATE!

  • MUST!!! BUY!!!

  • O_O...seeing this almost made me reach for my sonic screwdriver...even though it would have no effect! *sniff* I just recently got into Doctor Who but I can safely say that I'm obsessed!! I want one of these things...I could invade all of Brooklyn! MWAAHAHAHAH!!!!EXTERMINATE!!EXTERMINATE!!

  • Nice. When you perfect the extermination part, come see me and we can draw up our plans to enslave Earth.

  • -want-

  • Wow, *sigh* :) She's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I think I've fallen in love with a Dalek. :P I don't think words can describe how amazing she is. :)

  • man i hate dr who but gd work bet it was hard to make

  • man i hate docter who but thats a good work man done well

  • you could make ALOT of money selling those!

  • he would not legally be allowed as the bbc have only give thisplanetearth permission build and sell them

  • it wuld be cool to hav someone like u has a frend and hav my own full size dalek! but i can always dream. :(

  • So (doctor) WHO made this? A man called Davros only joking. But that is 100.0% Awesome. Did you made these for the BBC?

  • My God!! are you willing to make another to sell????? 100000/5!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • Very cool! ★★★★★/★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • cool

  • Do you think it's possible to modify a genesis dalek form This Planet Earth so that it is remote controlled like GENIE? Because it would be easier, albiet more expensive. Do you think it's possible, or would I need to start from scratch.

  • my uncle built a full sized dalek its realy cool!

  • there's actuelly a guide ot make a dalek on the internet

  • "...capable of being operated either externally or internallly with an operator."

You mean you can actually get inside? That's awesome!

  • OMG, that is soo cool!

  • ive seen this dalek a one of the dalek builders guild (i am a member) exhibitions. we took our dalek along "derrick"

  • lucky!!

  • Does the gun have that "jutting bit",or does it fire at all?

  • Not at the moment. Still haven't decided whether to fit this or CO2?

  • its a bit worrying if u put in co2 but put in the thing where the part of the gun goes in-out-in-out.

  • That is so amazing!!

You've done a fantastic job at constructing that very life-like dalek!

    Wish I owned one! Lol.

  • i know this will ba an unpopular post but why doesn't anyone ever do anything a bit 'experimental' with the design when they build a dalek? like a theme? art deco etc...

  • thats actuelly a good idea, make a new colourful break dancing alek XD

  • @annoianoid Hey, it's science fiction, and like Micheal Dorn of Star Trek said, you can do anything. I always thought that the Daleks didn't look very well proportioned around the base, a little too flat on the backside. In terms of the story line of Doctor Who they are an enemy that I really think has had it's day, in terms of conquering the universe the Autons, and Sontarans, would be better candidates, the Autons scared me more while teamed up with the Master.

  • Thalspy. You have done a great job on this beauty. I have a 'Chase' Dalek made to original very slightly smaller size spec by ex-BBC props man, modding it with electric wheelchair etc soon.

  • How much then....(gets wallet out*) never been able to figure out why i like them so much, and i don't watch Dr Who

  • I have got to get me one of these! I would send it to exterminate my ex-wife's lawyer.

  • Very Funny (sarcastic)

  • masbeer. I have news for you, this IS your ex-wife's Lawywer, LOL

  • Have you ever had people see 'Genie' in the streets wanting to drive her?

You could alot of money building them professionally.

  • wish i owned one like that. make and sell some more replicas! people would pay 00s!!

  • Oh gosh! This is totally awesome. How on earth did you manage to build such an amazing model? On my knees in awe and wonder to you.

  • How does its gun fire?

  • It doesn't!... but I might upgrade this at some point.

  • did you write down the instructions on how to build it? :)

  • No. There's really no need for instructions as it's all custom built but if you're interested check out The Dalek Builders' Guild and Project Dalek.

  • Amazing, wish I had one. I will Just have to stick with my Voice Control Dalek ;-)

  • Thats brilliant.....

  • Very impressive work. :o)

Where about in England is this?

  • Not all Dr. Who fans are concerned weather the Dalek they build fits in with the continuity of show. After all the BBC seems to not be concerned with the continuity of their new series Daleks. I have seen every Dr. Who (that was broadcast since the 70s) and I don't loose sleep about the spelling of Dalak as an anagram. Im glad that fans make the stuff mighty impressive. Now if we could only get a working death ray. Hmmmm

  • hahahaha! awesome!

  • if i saw that coming down my street, i'd be scared lol!

  • i hear that the bbc are getting pissed off with people building their own Daleks

  • Where did you find that out ? , it didint think the BBC would really be bothered if fans or collectors built there own replica Daleks ! .

Cheers , Jason [ Doctor Who One ]

  • i went to a build-your-own site, and according to them, the Beeb is upset about all the fan-built Daleks... but a number of the promo Daleks have been fan-builts, as well as some of the Daleks in some of the new series... at least according to the fan-built sites...

  • I think thats awesome how you put in a Camera and an internal viewing panel. You must feel like a real 'Kalid' inside that thing. If it has a mic and voice converter/amp for the inside operator then you could have some fun.

    Way cool.

  • It's Kaled , not Kalid .

  • can i buy it off you?!?!? :)

  • Daveros would be pround.

  • Really nice video , dont like the music thou .

Was this filmed in Ilford down Ilford Lane ? .

I only ask because thats where im from and i think i reconise one or two of the buildings seen in this video , it sure does look alot like Ilford in Essex .

  • that is pure class!!!!

  • Davros ! The scariest bastard I ever saw !

  • If you dont have time to build one.. But really, really want one.. Who do I turn to?

  • must be worth a few quid........ nice job.

  • superb work,

  • LOVE THE REMIX OF THE GARY NUMAN TRACK

  • That is awesome

  • I really really want one

  • how much did it cost to build i'm thinking of building a new series one

  • Music is from the Afrika Bambaataa White Label remixes of Gary Numan's 'Metal'. This being the Paul Daley Club Mix.

  • Whats the song, =o

  • Well it's been done before! Anyone thinking of building their own Dalek, in whatever form, should look up 'The Dalek Builders Guild' and 'Project Dalek'. On the message boards you'll find all the help you need.

  • Me and my mates are planning to build Dalek suits that we can wear for a "dress as you dare day" event at our school next year. (It's a celebration of year eleven graduation - only year elevens dress up, so we have a year to get it started.)

We're planning to build the new series Daleks. Do you have any tips to give us?

  • you should make a comedy vid usin the dalek bcause i loved the spinnin scene lol! im about to make the same dalek as urs only it is controlled by someone inside. urs took 2 years so mine will probably take longer :D

  • Radio Control. I'm using a Futaba Skysport 6 transmitter with Roboteq AX2550 Motor Controller.

  • Sorry halfstrat but no.

  • How do you control it?

  • Do you wanna sell it??

  • Well apart from my front room! The outside shots were filmed in Putney a few weeks back.

  • where was is filmed

  • Yes. At present she has a Radio Mic, Amplifier and Speakers in the Skirt section. With a Voice Modulator and transmitter that can be worn by the Operator.

  • Can it talk?

  • Thats one amazing dalek you've got there Grant!!

Cant wait till im able see it in the flesh.
