ive stayed clean for 3 weeks and when get tempation i listen to to this track and it makes me think of all the pain ive caused and the tempation joes away. im staring my life again.it wont be easy but i can do it
IVE DONE SOME TERRIBLE THINGS and its all drug related, taking drugs can very selfish now i just feel lonely and broke.im 24 yeras old and the last 11 years ive wasted i luv my mum and dad so much
@stevie1nder87 Fair play to you buddy!! you can do it... you still have the rest of your life ahead of you now so put it all behind you!! Good luck pal!!!
because the original England comment is so nonsensical... despite England's small size, there are a huge number of people there, and modern music has largely (not entirely of course) been shaped by British rock/pop (culturally if not musically, which is what matters in this case), so of course it's going to seem like some kind of awesome music nexus
Just to clarify... this song isn't about drug dependency, suicide or depression, it's Richard Ashcroft mourning the loss of his Mum who died from cancer.
@ShadowDioUK Richard Ashcroft is from Wigan, not Manchester. And yeah, I haven't been to Manchester but being from Manchester doesn't mean you're into drugs.
@ShadowDioUK no it's not . i live in mcr too & there are drugs if you are a dickhead, if you're not you swerve em .... be smart not a sheep & follow the next dickhead who thinks smack is cool ....
When someone close takes their own life a process has to take place that has a number of stages. Expecting the people left behind to be someplace they are unable to be is more to do with how uncomfortable they are making the people around them than it does with the grieving people. The thing with Music and Songs is that they can articulate non-verbal feelings and emotions that the people undergoing loss may not be able to access any other . way. Thats just the way with grief.
2 years since he killed himself...I find my happiness at the bottom of a bottle and in lines of coke..if I'm not high..all o think about is him..what we were..where I went wrong..and why I couldn't save him..I'd rather be high than have to see him..have to hear how voice in my head
@xxhunnybunnyxxx Stop blaming yourself for someone else's actions. Listen to uplifting music. Seek good. Focus on helping others. Make a difference. Smile. Watch Will Farrell clips. Hold an infant. Walk in the woods.
@Hornet0biker You shouldn't fucking mock him, your teens are so important, your most important years of school happen between 13 and 17.I completely agree with him, he is better and more respected person to me now.
i'm 17 and i am happy i caught my addiction early and wish i could get those years back and apologize to the people i hurt and ignored, I've wasted so many opportunities I could of taken and for what? I remember i tried my drug of choice at 13 out of pure curiosity and it had a lasting effect that i still fight everyday
The 80s was the worst decade for music yet, granted there were some good artists but the majority of music was terrible. Thank God the 90s got us back on track.
People writing about killing themselves get a grip! It's a great emotional song, it doesn't need people like you attention seeking while everyone else is trying to enjoy the music!!!

I was a meth addict when I was 13.I lasted 28 days without sleeping. Then I moved to Sanderson Texas.60 miles south of fort stockton.no one sold/used cocaine there.I had no connections.I lived their for 3 years I never left Sanderson.I would go crazy, wanted to commit suicide.I started drinking a lot pf coffee.until I no longer craved coke.I no longer drink coffee or do cocaine im back in san francisco.and I found out my Best friend had overdosed at a party I was invited to and was gonna go too.
