I don't want to knock Iron Maiden or any metal band. I did like them but I was such a sourpuss in High School. I'm happy now, but I was not a cool teenager. I lived my teenage years in my twenties. If I had a more positive outlook, I would have really loved Heavy Metal. Oh well...You only live once. My Favourite band will always be Pink Floyd. Roger got me through some rough times.

Best hard rock band ever. Great songs. Great musicians. They were turning out all this great kick ass music through the 80s when so many other bands were putting out gay ass ballads, wearing lip stick and eye make up. Even Ozzy had a gay look in the 80s. Iron Maiden never wrote a ballad that I know of. They did not sell out.

Sadly, that's who's influencing our generation and influences are what matter. Iron Maiden and Megadeth had great influences, but we've got Rihanna, Lady Gaga. If our generation went back to listening to good music we'd have more bands that sounded like Black Tide's Light from above and not the Camp Rock Soundtrack.
