yes they do. They are just fed organic food. I am a vegan and am starting to buy organic only. Yet I do know for a fact that they are treated the same no matter what sadly. There is no way to get meat, milk, or eggs in a humane way..xo

Did you know chickens are more trainable than dogs and about as intelligent as some types of primates? Chickens can be taught to come when called, walk on leases, play simple songs on mini keyboards, and use litterboxes, among other things. Chickens are loving, friendly birds that form life-long relationships with other animals and people. Chickens in good care can live up to 20 years old but in factory farms, they are killed when they are 6 weeks old!

This is why I have my very own vegetarian raised, free range, cage free chickens, and I feed them so well and know what they eat and we eat their eggs, but we would never eat them, they are my pets and we love and respect them, its one little step in the right direction, if you can do this for yourself you will be blessed with great animal friendsship for many many years!!! I just love em!!!!
