I went to Ghana for international studies and it is sometimes just like Ghambia. My Jewish friends went for Business. I went to the Hotel room sleeping when I woke up the cleaning lady was laughing, she was looking at the white breasts of my girfriend who forget to dress up. I was shocked terrible & asked her too leave. Not while after something was stolen from by bag as well. Wonder if Ghana and west African hide their sexuality. I can't see if they are lesbian or not. The trip was unbelievable
I say that it possibly spawned all human thought because the first human notation ever found is a 500,000 year old femur (thigh bone) with the scratches of the lunar cycle/menstrual period. In our greed we first castrated men so that they could be 'holy' enough serve as priests, then went past human sacrifice as far as the sacrifice of God so we would never again need the holy blood flow. This witch-hunting comes from that greatest of corruptions. The 'fall of man' is in grave evidence here.
Everything in modern religion has been derived from the mimicry used to supplant woman's role in religion. Circumcision, castration, shamans wearing womens robes, animal>human>god sacrifice (the greatest corruption), all designed to mimic the woman's menstrual flow. In ancient times it was called the moon because it matched the progress of the moon through the heavens. That was the mystical link between man and the universe that spawned religion, but possibly spawned all human thought.
Evil words bring evil deeds... Animist isn't female based at all, the earth mother religion goes further back than that. There are myths in Africa which tell how men stole religion from women, the same in aboriginal culture, the same in S. American. It is corruption because of what has resulted from it. Woman is the natural counter-balance to man's aggressive/destructive tendencies, and that check has been removed. Moreover it is the way in which it has been done which is the most sickening.
I'm a man but even up until recent antiquity the Oracle at Delphi was the highest religious power in the Land, and in far antiquity the earth mother was the only known deity. Religion opposed the state's greed, and that greed forced it to subvert and subsume religion. Now religion is just the states bully boy. Personally I'm an atheist, but if there is one great corruption, "the fall of man" so to say, it is this. Witch-hunting is just the logical endpoint of this near-fatal corruption.
@XArcane I am not an Atheist but I am extremely open minded but if you solely stay only in the defensive position then one simply recycles the same argument. These are an articulate defense of these beliefs you are giving but the point is progress and realism. What does one do when a belief creates only benefits that makes one archaic, then what? In Africa the place is teeming with the college educated, surely you have the Brain Trust and Brain Capital to tackle such issues.
Now with Christianity it is only a surprise that Kente and Adinkra weren't destroyed in the witch-hunt like the others. Instead they lie about when they were created ignoring the widespread examples such as Djerma cloth, and other symbolic systems from the region such as Bamana, the symbol writing of the Zulus and Lundas, and the symbol systems depicted on cave walls in prehistoric times. It is a wonder the Queen-mother of Kente is still alive, she should have been burned as a witch by now.
@BonusCivis Believing in witchcraft is not the problem, it's intrinsic to Ghana as Shamans to America. Adinkra and Kente the languages of Ghanas forefathers were magic languages. The Queen-mother of Kente would weave a cloth based on the king's choice of designs and use the mystic language to tell tale of his future reminiscent of the Fates of Greek mythology. Adinkra symbols were magical protection. The problem is the bible passage that says "THOU SHALT NOT SUFFER A WITCH TO LIVE".
@XArcane We have the same bible passage in America. what is primitive is their response. We have witches in America and we do not kill them and do such things. You are making excuses. If the West made such excuses we'd never make any progress. I commend the Chief because in reality it is a humane solution and a lesser of two evils. You are missing the point entirely of my comment. Spare me the dramatizations.
@BonusCivis Even with you, the thought of simply reforming the entire animist system has never crossed your mind, thats all Moses did was reform his people. Each Great Christian and Jewish(or even Muslim) figure was a reformist to an extent. We get too comfortable and convince ourselves that not to reform is noble. Its called staying in a static position and staying in your comfort zone.
@BonusCivis You did kill witches though. The whole witch-burning thing was well documented in European history and went on for hundreds of years. We were admittedly at a lower developmental stage than you and what impressing the Judeo-Christian religion upon us does is simply force us to repeat the European mistakes. The moral/spiritual compass of mankind is woman, and religion should be the sole preserve of women. Judeo-Christianity/Islam forbidding women from religion is corrupt
@XArcane Witches were indeed burned in Salem but one can expect that from a fundamentalist Society who is literally interpreting the Scripture. I would have to read up on Salem and see exactly how we overcame that dark period in America History but the point is is that we did and the period was almost 400 years ago. If you want to go esoteric we can go their. I am not asking for the Religion to be Eliminated but Reformed. Lets take a closer look at Judeo-Christian Beliefs.
@BonusCivis You use the word corrupt and you are free to do so but what Judeo-Christianity does is harness the male creative and developmental forces better. Left the way it is Animist is to Earth Based and female oriented so that is the part of the problem.Just reform that energy and system and put that Earth Based Energy in check do not stamp it out because by not putting it in check it is killing you but you do not realize it. To Reform a belief system you have to go a little deeper.
@BonusCivis To reform It is not corruption its just the redirecting and re-balancing of energies. If you are not willing to do that then you are creating your own problems because those systems shape the Soul and The Society and Creativity is derived from the Soul.

When will Africans join the rest of the world in the 21st century? Why do they still believe in this nonsense?
