I don't know if I'm alone in this or not, but when the strings wiped their faces with their clothes in unison, I really wanted the brass to empty their spit valves in unison too!

The first time I heard this song was when I pressed a button on one of those music things at the store. Now every time I go to that store I press that same button. I really like this song.
"In The Mood" fenomenal pieza de Joseph Copeland “Joe” Garland y Andy Razaf. Fue grabada por vez primera en 1938 por Edgar Hayes y su orquesta, pero fue el trombonista Glenn Miller y su arreglo quien la impulsó al estrellato mundial.
Our school's swing band played this. I'm not talking about a waterbed down high school arrangement, no; I'm talking the actual, professional composition. Except that only one instrument played the solos rather than the whole section, which made it all the more impressive, really.
Being a violinist aside from a jazz pianist, my favorite part has got to be when the orchestra plays their one note then wipe the "sweat" from their brow. Classic.

Or are you just saying that it would be more accurate to call it Big Band, rather than generalizing it as Jazz? Just curios, since this statement keeps coming up.
@calism23 I don't know. It depends on how strictly you define jazz. For instance, if it doesn't have any improvisation, some wouldn't say it was jazz at all.
@sapperfilms2100 big band is a form of jazz (jazz has many styles e.g bebop, cool or west coast, jazz rock fusion, stride, chicago style, kansas city style) Jazz was formed out of european and west african contributions in New Orleans. I've taken a few jazz & music courses at my university
@sapperfilms2100 actually rock and roll is a syncopation of accents on the second anf fourth beats of a measure in common compared to jazz which mostly had accents on the first and third beats of the music in the rhythm section.

Just went to my uncle's memorial service a week ago. (He was almost 92. WWII and Korean War vet.) Just went to my uncle's memorial service a week ago. (He was almost 92. WWII and Korean War vet.) A recording of this was played right after the Navy guys did the flag ceremony, as the last part of the service. It was great! Everyone went to a huge luncheon feeling all lighthearted from hearing this.
