  • very fine, indeed....

  • I liked this movie a lot. It was about human warmth, not about politics or governments that ruin everything.

  • I lived as an American in Lebanon most of my years until age 17, then to the US my "home of birth". I love watching fims from the Middle East like The Band's Visit, The Syrian Bride, Strangers, Cup Final, that show the interface of Arabs and Israelis in all their complexity.

  • As an Australian Asian, I really like the movie, she's good looking!!

  • This movie sucked.

  • great movie

  • im egyptian i whant to find so beatiful israeli women like that on the film hahah....btw i love tihs film

  • love this film

  • Anyone know what's the song at 1:05? pls it's soooo nice!

  • Nice movie & Dina by Ronet Elkabetz was so charming.

It's sad to know that it's not realistic because brain-washing has created a monster in Israelis minds. & even they broke free out of hate their extreamists & right-wing discreminating governments won't !

  • This movie touchs me deeply.

Ronit and Sasson are great and moving.

Perchè non facciamo davvero la pace a questo mondo?

  • I watched the movie last night with another Egyptian friend. We loved it, I guess we have much in common :)

  • in one word EXCELLENT!!!!!! I love very much this film. I watched it yesterday night in original languaje here in Milan

  • The DVD of this movie is coming in video stores on the 29th July. You can rent or buying this wonderful masterpiece. Just love it and appreciate the director Eran.

  • By the way the actor accent in Arabic is not Egyptian :(

  • I am Egyptian and would love to watch that movie. I wonder where can I get from in Canada, does anyone know?

  • Just watched this work of art. Beautiful movie that does a fantastic job at presenting a message of peace without spending a moment on the subject. We're all linked by dreams, nightmares, ambition and failure. The cast do great justice to this transcendent intertwined object of art. Elkabetz Ronit brings her beauty and embodiment of character and the others rally with genuine intensity that include moments of humor, sadness and even cringe factor. The farewell scene is beauty in itself.

  • Is Sasson Gabai an Iraqi Jew? This is what I hear.

  • at the beginning of the trailer he says this thing in arabic, does anyone know the exact translation of it? he continues to say it but its not this trailer and i've been trying to find it everywhere.

  • I don't think that this Bakri is related to the french actor Jean Pierre Bacri who is from Corsican origin (french mediterranean iskland) and born in Algeria in the time of French occupation. The only common point is that they have mediterranean origins. But question is georges Clinton related to Bill Clinton :) just kidding hwiseman

  • Great film with judicious cast.Palestinian or Israeli, whatever human after all. Who can tell me the name of the song that begins with KOULCHI HILWA ZAKARNI FIK, I'm looking for it for a long time

  • That guy that won the Best Supporting Actor award is so handsome. Is he palestinian or egyptian?

  • he is israeli

  • So he is a palestinian-isralei-arab-whatever origin. Thanks

  • israeli not isralei.

  • Not 'whatever,' he's Jewish and Israeli, not Arab. That's just what he is.

  • He is arab, believe me, he is son of Mohammed Bakri. I don't think he is jew. But i don't see the problem there are a lot of arabs in israel.

  • No, there's no problem with being an Arab in Israel. But with a name like Sasson Gabai??? LOL. I'm sure he is Jewish. Plus, check online. Okay, you talking about the younger or older guy? That would explain...

  • Best Supporting Actor (Saleh Bakri). If you see again what i wrote. ;)

  • My bad. I had just assumed you meant the more famous of the actors. I don't know who one best supporting, I never saw it. But question, is this Bakri related to the French actor named Bakri? One of his movies is "The Housekeeper."

  • I don't know. I discovered Saleh Bakri when i read the israeli blog ontheface by lisa goldman.

  • Nice Movie... The song is (Kol shi hilo), means in Arabic "everything lovely".

  • yup, really nice movie. do u know the singer or the band who sing it?

  • does anybody know the song...sounds like a good movie..

  • Hello,

    thank you.

    Miryam /Istanbul

  • Hi Miryam,

    U welcome! ;)

  • I'm lebanese, living in london, i watched the film during the BFI film festival a couple of weeks ago and loved it. it challenges all the stereotypes of arabs and israelis and proves that at the end of the day, we are all human beings, human beings who once shared a common culture , human beings who once watched egyptian movies. lovely film, congratulation on the success:)

  • I guess it slowly made it to the US. We just caught it at the cinema. Beautiful film. The concept is great. It could be seen to be naive as it leaves out evil and hidden agendas but it also does it's job as entertainment - entertaining the possibility that we could all get along if we found those commonalities that link us rather than saluting our differences from the start. Ahhh, to a better world!

  • People have more in common, than what divides them. And wars are fought, because of that little inch of diversity. How sad.

  • no war is fought because of an ethnic cleansing crime that have not met its justice yet...sorry to bring you out from ur inside peace...but you gotta wake up and start understanding why there is a war in the ME...it is not about people being different..it is about an ethnic cleansing crime of stolen land and homes and a populance that was driven from its lands on the tip of the gun..about western imperialist wanna implant a military base of live jews in the middle of a foriegn land

  • @mzkaddah u r absolutely right the people who dont know the right story believes that their is some kind of discrimination but their is nothing like that in the ME

  • Yup APARBEST,

u r so right! it's amazing that no one interesting in Israeli culture, in Israeli art and so on.

my opinion, is that what we have here, you can't find in other places.

  • This is just another true face of Israel, one of many, that the world doesn't know.

Its no surprise for us, the Israelis.

  • Kariula, u welcome!

your gonna love it! be sure ;)

  • must be nice...thank you for sending it...
