  • that was an utter disgrace. you totally demeaned that poor dog for no reason whatsoever. that wasn't training....that was cruel.

  • Oh C'mon! Why jerk on the dog collar like this when you can easyly train a dog to stay with positive reinforcement ?

  • Unfortunately the owner after spending $3500.00 with 3 different professional trainers who specialize in using only/primarily positive reinforcement /incentive base approaches grew tired of the failures and promises.. CAN and Easy never happened using only positive reinforcement.

  • Good job training, i hope i can achieve this with my puppy when he gets older!I have seen an untrained dog struck by a car , that was sad and preventable.

  • Love that cat!!

  • I wish I could condition my cats to help in training but they refuse too once full of treats. My cats would never trust a dog in such a short time. I understand how your training the dog but I want to see a video on how you train the cats. LOL

  • The springer I dogsit I think is BEYOND help:(

  • So what's the point of this idiotic exercise? To suppress the highly energetic and playful nature of springers? To continue to be able to sell them to people who want well-behaved and attractive "yard ornaments" with no personality because they're (the owners) too lazy to have meaningful interaction with the dog? You're only producing a neurotic and dysfunctional dog.Yes,I have a springer. And just like sometimes you gotta let kids be kids, the same goes for dogs.

  • shut your fucking mouth, this is TRAINING! it does not go to say that all the time the springer is not allowed to play or be a dog it is making the springer focus on the owner. Sometimes that can save a dogs life so maybe you should think before you sound big and tough over your keyboard.

  • hate is you Kayce I have springers like many others and they do take alot of exercise and training. Teaching them to stay when told is very important even with distractions. You never know when it might stop them running under a car - being attacked by a bigger dog ect ect. However he does indeed look toward his owner for direction so he looks like he knows he is the pack leader, very well trained.

  • lol wow now i'm scared

  • i have a little springer spaniel her name is jess she is so cute we gave her lots of toys so she wouldnt chew things

  • one of my springers barks when ever i go out the house, an he also chews things up, he is a nightmare to take on a walk to, any ideas, espacailly for the walking, , my female is springer is great though, x

  • oalalala bravo au dresseur ! Mon chien (un springer aussi) s'agite dès qu'on bouge (il devient tout fou). Impossible qu'il reste calme !!lol

  • Does anyone's springer run off to greet strangers? Ours does and I don't know how to stop it. She won't go up to other dogs strangely, she seems scared, but loves people, but some don't like dogs running up to them, I wish I could stop this

  • keep on a lead and when you walk her if she pulls towards people then pull her back and tell her to heel. If she stays by your side while you pass them reward her with a well done, good girl or treat. it takes a while but she will start to get it after a few weeks and do it off lead too

  • ok, thanks for the advice :)

  • Amazing!

  • Beautiful dog! I have a springer, Liberty, and she was a trained bird dog when we got her...I spoiled her a little too much though, so now I don't know how good she would be!

  • Those cats seem very well trained!

As independent creatures as they are I'm very impressed.

Even though Ben was distracted slightly he always made sure he knew where you were!

I have a springer spaniel border collie cross...No way in heck would she do that.

  • Buddy just got a free Springer, and looks forward to having it in his home; I was able to help get the dog settled and start training. Looks to be a great dog - now I want one too.

  • That is the kind of trainer I aspire to be!!

    Very very well done!!!

  • Poor Ben, that looks like torture. Especially with the cats. Disciplined though. Louie could not do that.

  • I'm going to post a video response to your comment with one of Ben when he was here for training - only, during his "play time". Then, tell me whether you think Ben is a "poor" dog. And, if your Louis is a dog, yes, he can be trained as well as Ben was - that is what we do for a living!

  • As I know dogs I can assure you that Ben is not "poor Ben"...A well trained dog is a happy & secure dog. ( :

  • Impressive! Wish my springer could do that. Looks like you do cat training too!
