miguelignacio: I think Jordan's the one that's overrated. Think about it! He has his own shoe & apparel lines and endorses everything else under the sun. TV parades him around constantly he also won six titles. But most don't realize that MJ's titles came against much inferior competition in comparison to what Larry faced. MJ is 0-6 vs Bird in the playoffs. MJ got all the calls in the clutch against everyone he faced (in the Finals) and has gotten away with traveling for his entire career!

miguelignacio: MJ, Magic, Russell, and West would most definitely put Larry Bird in the Top 5 (most likely in the 1-3 spot), especially Magic. And virtually all of the basketball experts put him there too. My point is that the over-publicity MJ gets is directly related to how people feel about his playing. Don't get me wrong, he's Top 5 material, but many kids see his commercials nowadays and just assume that he must be the GOAT because no other player receives that kind of attention. Wrong!
