  • WOW, the bass line sung in this song is great and competeing with the tenor ( in the ending) is a really good touch! These guys really had something going for them.

  • It's wonderful to find performances when these groups were younger. My only other exposure is from the Gaither videos. Thank you for posting these wonderful finds.....

  • Thank you and God bless. I like you love the classic older southern gospel.

  • After listening to the Dixie Echoes and this, I'm amazed at how much Pat Barker sounds like Billy on this song.

  • Thanks for taking the time to post such great music!

  • His name is Doyle Wiggins.

  • Thank you for the info God bless.

  • My next door neighbor was one of the original members (and lead singers) of both the Dixie Echos and Florida Boys. It is very neat chatting with him.

  • What was his name?

  • I hear a lot of people Talk about how good JD Sumner was as a Bass singer, as well as London Parris and others. This Bass singer for the Florida Boys has to be one of the most underrated that I've ever heard. Whoever is singing High Tenor is Fabulous!!

  • Bass is Billy Todd. He passed away just a few months ago. The high tenor is Coy Cook, and I believe he died several years ago, but the other two and the pianist are all still living. They retired in 2007.

  • YES ! I'm going down to the Jordan River !

Any Florida Boys cds with more music like this?
