I don't know why people find this so hard to believe. These trucks produce an absurd amount of power. With 500+ lb-Ft and 350+ HP, it's all about getting the right launch.
All you gotta do is find the right RPM and they take off like a rocket.

I wouldn't be keeping the Mustang...I want a Z4 roadster so the mustang was gonna be just to make some extra profit. But that was before I found out they're selling for about the same price.
@mustanghappy123 you say it like the mustang was free yet still dont know if anything was done to it. it should also be mentioned that straight piping a 6.0 diesel will only add around 20hp and 30 torque. im not saying i know exactly what the guy is running but im sure he could have beat that mustang with just the tuner. mustangs and super duty's from the dealer are only about 10 grand apart and with a mustang you cant tow. put $300 worth of parts into a mustang you still cant beat that truck.
@PAPABEAR0326 chips dont do anything for gas jobs they help a little but barly at all, the reason programers help deseils so much is because they are set up to take in a huge amout of air and fuel

Its one of three diesel trucks I use for work so it pays for itself, so I guess you could say that. I certainly didnt buy it to go racing, I have a couple of decently fast cars for that. Although the look on someones face when they get dragged by a 7700lb truck is priceless.

You might spend 5 grand less on a Mustang GT of comparable year model and mileage, but by the time you make it as fast as a 6.0 F250 with just $400 in tunes and $300 in exhaust, your 5 grand savings is out the window! Then when you combine the fact that a GT is good for the track only, and a 250 can be used on the track and just about anywhere else...WAY WAY WAY more valuable!!!

But my buddy has a 2003 cobra that he paid 15,700 for and has dropped about 3k in it and will wax my truck with no problem. So a mustang can cost just as much as a diesel truck, just depends on how fast you want to go. Sure, if you want to get out ran by an 8000 pound truck, get a cheap as gt mustang that you paid 3500 for.

sct is the shit for 6.0s i hadnt seen much hang with them for what they are 04 cummins with a triple dog crazy larry wouldnt hang. imnot sure what tune he had its my buddys truck. but
I actually have a '03 Cummins 2500, it runs 14.90's with same mods(tuner/exhaust). Ok truck but on second transmission and its always had fuel system problems. My '04 F250 has over 130k miles with zero problems to date. Go figure...

Yeah the Dodge pulls great when its running. We do a little bit of drag racing so I normally tow a 28ft enclosed race car trailer with the f250. I pull a tractor and pressure washing outfit with the Dodge.
@allstar8200 ha no you don't... you have to have a built tranny in a duramax to hit 12's. That allsion transmission can't handle a superchips, let alone an EFI live which is what you'll need to run 12's.
Stock motor and turbo tuned with efi live and set up i am runnin 12.81 @ 104. there isnt a psd or dodge on stock motor an turbo that can a dmax and if ya got one i wanna race it.
Yeah but he is running stock motor, turbo, AND tranny! With as much money as you put in to that tranny, he could put head studs, egr delete, and NOS set up and be in the 12's.
Shit give me nos and head studs and i'll be in the 11's. So i like i said that powerstroke on nothing but programming will never tuch a dmax with efi live.
Yeah the Duramax is a fast engine, I'm not bashing it. But what I'm saying is this: If you put the same amount of money in a Chevy 2500 Duramax and a Ford F-250 6.0l Powerstroke, you'll have about the same results...
No issues YET, but I know its coming! It does puke a little when towing my 36ft enclosed trailer, but not any other time. Its been doing that for over 100k miles(it has 130k on it now). I plan on doing studs and injectors over the winter when I'm not using it alot.
Wow that truck is Badass. I have a 03 F350 with 4" turbo back exhaust and I just ordered a SCT tuner and tunes from Innovative Diesel Performance. I had no idea these trucks could be anywhere near a 13.55 with just minor mods. If my truck runs a 15 Ill be impressed.
hey just wondering if you launched in 4 wheel cause i my dads got an 06 with an sct, bakns intake and dual exhaust, arp head studs, fire ringed heads and gaskets, an egr cooler delete and a power elbow. its all custom and fast but when you punch it it wants get sideways only. should it be launched in 4 wheel at the strip to get a time like that?

I'm running the "looney" from DJs as well,leaving at 20psi in 4 hi. They have done several versions of it for me but this is the strongest one(I tow with it also). What was your 60'? I usually have a 1.7xx 60' in 4wd, that makes the biggest difference on these trucks as all your time comes from the front half of the track(1/8 mile)that pass I went a 8.44 in the 1/8.
