Groupon spent millions of dollars bringing attention to important causes while still advertising their product. Guess altruism is meant to be demeaned, at least according to this guy.
@Patriot7661 Hey, the only one demeaning anyone publicly is Groupon, which chose to demean Tibetans during the Super Bowl (and didn't even get their native cuisine right!) They couldn't support good causes without mocking them? Goofing on an important issue and then throwing money at it so you can get away with having a horrible attitude and being a jerk is not "altruism." It's cynical. Giving money and then not making a big deal out of it is altruistic.
I liked the homeaway ad, with the test baby, ad. WOW fell off the couch. The groupon ads were a real head fake, and when ya go to their site you can actually help the true charities. BTW the angry birds got 300,000 entries in a single day. The power of 100 million viewers.
