  • May I share something? Thank you. I came as far as this time in my life, and have only learned about Calvinism a few days ago. A salvation not intended for all? Predestination? God decides who is to be saved? I choose and I always want to be what is usually described as open minded and tolerant. But this Calvinism thing... IT IS OUTRAGEOUS!! I AM ANGRY WITH THESE STUPID BARBARIANS!! BARBARIANS!! JUST COLD-ASSED BARBARIANS!! COMPUTERISED SEXUALLY OPPRESSED BARBARIANS!! 13-1-2012
  • The first line was genius, unlike arminianism.

  • This is just fucking creepy.

  • Ok. I stand in neither the C or A camp. One thing I notice though from both sides, people will quote men such as John Calvin or Charles Finney more than Jesus. It seems idolatrous.

  • @maddee33 Sorry to inform you, but if you are a Christian you are in one of the 2 camps whether you know it or not.

  • "If you were any more lame, you would be having your friends lower you through the roof of a house so Jesus could heal you!"

    BURRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • Being a calvinist makes you realize how much we have to depend on God for everything in our lives. It makes me humble and become submissive to the Lord.

  • well done. but then i reject calvinism and so dont have to resort to desperate measures to defend an error

  • @Strefanasha on what basis do you reject Calvinism? Scripture supports Calvinism, not Arminianism. Read your Bible.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay I think not.

  • @71invictus I agree, you don't think!

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay Nobody can be pre-destined to eternal damnation,to much false doctrine,pre-trib rapture is another apostate teaching, having the true Elect into thinking they will be spared at the last second by a secret rapture. This is what they will say when Christians are being led away to the FEMA camps in this dying world infested with the spirit of anti-christ.

  • @71invictus that god is sovereign and decides everything is not a false doctrine. You Arminians have a far too small view of God. Your doctrine has Jesus coming to Earth to merely make people eligible for salvation, if only they will cooperate and believe in Christ. Your doctrine has a Jesus that doesn't really save anybody, not without man's help in deciding whether or not to cooperate. Your Jesus is weak and incompetent, unable to accomplish anything without man's cooperation.

  • What a lame video. If you can't do any better than that why even bother? You'd be better off spending your time reading the holy Bible and learn the truth.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay lol - um - it's comedy ya turd sniffing Calvinist... In a few years, after you have realized you are in gross error, you will lighten up - it's predestined...

  • @Wunji1 I spent the first forty years of my life in error, following the popular Arminian doctrine that we choose God. Then I decided to really study the scriptures and I found out that we don't choose God, God chooses us. It makes more sense. I once was an Arminian, but now I'm a Calvinist. You will find very few Calvinists that convert to Arminianism, but there's a lot of Calvinists that were once Arminianists. Ignorance produces Arminians. Knowledge of the Bible produces Calvinists.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay This paragraph is just a retarded as Calvinism. To suggest that somehow studying the bible produces Calvinism, and the lack thereof Arminius followers is just plain ignorant, and arrogant. I guess the likes of J. Vernon McGee, Adrian Rogers, Norman Geisler, Albert Mohler, et al., never pick up their bible. Or better yet, you obviously study harder than they do, and are much smarter. Calvinism fits your elitist mentality perfectly well...

  • @Wunji1 Actually it you, the Arminians, who are the elitists. You have far too high an opinion of yourselves; thinking that your fickle is more important than God's will. You insult the majesty of the Almighty God with your little view of Him, thinking that YOU decide your own salvation. What makes you think that your opinion is what God bases who gets saved? Not only is it insulting to Almighty God, but it shows you to be fools for thinking such heresy. You are humanist elitists.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay First - thank you for posting that portion of John 15:16 that is Jesus talking to his disciples and then applying it to everyone so that everyone can see how much in error you really are. This is the problem with Calvinism -everything is out of context! Calvinist doctrines are not "all of scripture". You only read it that way because your lenses are skewed. Second - it isn't "either/or". I am neither an Armenian, nor a Calvinist - go back to seminary...

  • @Wunji1 "If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. Iff you were of the world, the world would love his own; but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. - Jesus Christ as reported in John chap.15; verse18 & 19. You are either of this world, or not. You are either not saved or saved by the blood of Christ. You are either a child of the Devil (John 8, 44) or you're a child of God. You can't be both!

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay The import is correct, but it has nothing to do with Calvinism. Is it so hard to believe that God's love encompasses the freedom to choose His love instead of Him needed to make robots? It's not REAL love if God forces it on whomever He wishes, and condemns others...

  • @Wunji1 God doesn't make any of us "robots". He freely chooses some to receive His Holy Spirit and we then start to become more God-like and less human-like in our nature. If God had chosen to choose none then none would have been saved by Christ. God chooses men...Men don't choose God. God is the king, the ruler, sovereign in all things. We are but mere created beings. You need to get your perspective in order and quit thinking so highly of men.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay No one recieves the Holy Spirit until they believe on Christ. It is only once a person believes that they have life and receieve the Holy Spirit.

John20:30"Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that BY BELIEVING you may have life in his name. "

  • @shteve77 True, the names of those who were predestined to receive the Holy Spirit were chosen before the foundation of the world, before any of us were even born. The Father chose us, the Son saved us, the Holy Spirit comes into us at our appointed times during our life. God does it all. We are the recipients of His gifts.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay A person is saved when they believe, and God doesn't force anyone to believe. John 1:12 is clear, "to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God".

It is to those that receive Christ, to those who believe on His Name, God then does something for these people. He chooses to adopt them as His Children. Yes, this is God's choice to do this, He doesn't have to but He promises to do it for all who believe on His Son.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay Says you,of course YOU'RE pre-destined to glory,it's always everyone else that isn't picked,luck of the draw huh.

  • @71invictus there are many others besides me that have been chosen. Too bad you believe that we pick God rather than He picks us? Scripture backs up Calvinism, the only thing you have to back up Arminianism is that you think it would be unfair if God chose some and not everyone. You judge God by your human standards, but God is way above your understanding and mine as well, that is why we must rely on what he reveals to us in the Holy Bible, rather than coming up with our own ideas.

  • @JesusIsTheOneWay the strangest thing about Arminianism is that for 39 books in the Old Testament God has chosen only one special people out of every people on earth to be his. I never hear Arminians saying how unfair it is for God to only choose Jews. Think of all the races around the globe. Did they choose not be Jewish? When God's election is clearly taught in the NT they cry out that the God they follow would never do that because its "not fair".

  • @Rhys051777 Good point.

  • hahahahahahahaha you need to lear the diference between destiny and density, hahahaha Simply Great!!

  • if you want to argue with calvinists, it would be better to find a real one rather then this straw calvinist who cant quote scripture back at you. how childish and un Christlike.

  • To ARMINIANS -Romans 11:32 "for God has shut up all to unbelief, that he might have mercy on all".

To CALVINISTS -1 Timothy 4:10"for for this we both labour and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is Saviour of ALL MEN ESPECIALLY y of those believing."

DOUBTERS I Cor. 15:23-28"But every man in his own order:..For He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet..last enemy...destroyed is DEATH... Son also Himself be subject unto Him..that God may be ALL IN ALL"

  • This is a funny debate

  • According to bold4jesus FLAWED reasoning,

He better throw out the Psalms, cause David was a murderer & an adulterer & a polygamist. Oh ya & Peter's stuff too. cause he did worse, he denied Christ 3 times. All these actions taken while they were regenerate believers. Do any of U see how silly this reasoning really is? I apologize 4 this circus, though I felt it necessary to a point but now has moved into the realm of "pearls before swine" and is not to edification. To God alone be the glory

  • *meant to type "sad when a person like boldforjesus" but i ran out of space

  • Sad person like boldforjesus resorts 2 ad hominem attacks. This is a clear indication of a weak/ non argument. It is a logical fallacy 2 say since(as he wrongly argues) Calvin committed murder, this in turn renders all things Calvin believed, said,or agreed with 2 be false. This is equivalent 2 some1 saying. " Oh Ya, well thats not true cause your MEAN!".This is utter childishness. BTW not Ad hominem for it is calling the man's reasoning actions what they are, not rejecting them because of the man

  • haha, it's so funny especially the comments of people that dont know what this is about haha

  • Thanks for the laughs! Calvinist babes are the best!

  • LOL. She should have come back to him with this: Hebrews 12:15-17 - looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward... he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears. ~ Then she should have torn the TULIP apart.

  • @boldforjesus That would have been a zinger

  • @boldforjesus The use of Esau (whom God hated before he was born, not based on anything good or bad that he Esau would do ,but upon God's sovereign choice,Romans9:10-11) is consistent with what is in vs. 8, those in the church addressed who R found without this disciplining work of God R "Illegitimate children & not sons." Its a call to examine themselves 2 see if they R sheep & also an encouragement 2 those who ARE "ENDURING"(vs.7).Should not all be warned of sin? True sheep R persevered by God

  • @all4Hisgloryalone No Scripture explains God preserves all of us real Christians to have eternal security. The writer of Hebrews got the "root of bitterness" from Deut. 29:18-20. Here it has the possibility to spring up. They were not in this sin. They had been saved. Plus it says by this many BECOME defiled. A lost person is already defiled, so ur claim that this is not about Christins having the chance to lose salvation doesn't hold. For some have already turned aside after Satan - 1 Tim. 5:15

  • @boldforjesus Did you actually read 1 Timothy5:15? Its about responsibilities & instruction on widows and children in the assembly. Again verse fifteen acknowledges that there are some in the assembly who are not really of Us. You take verses and isolate from context. I noticed no refutation of my arguments and scripture used to support them

  • @all4Hisgloryalone Verse 11 says: they have begun to grow wanton against Christ = so they were saved. 1 Timothy 5:12 - Having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith. ~ The word for cast off also means despise, reject, bring to nothing, to do away with, to set aside, disregard, nullify, make void. Clearly, their faith is no good anymore, and they will be condemned at the last day. 1 John 2:19 is only about them people. I refute what you think John 6 means in one of my videos.

  • @boldforjesus I would like 2 continue dialog with U through you tube mail which allows more room 4 arguementation w/out word limits and i can provide the scriptures you asked for with full exegesis. thankyou

  • @boldforjesus As with all the writers of scripture, when they wrote letters 2 the churches, they made it quite clear that not all who PROFESS Christ are ACTUALLY His .Look at Heb 6 use of US /BELOVED in contrast 2 THOSE /THEM then look at vs.9, Therefore warnings are given to all for all ought 2 obey.Should the Apostles not warn the Elect also? Self examination is an opportunity for GOD'S work of grace to be shown& the saint 2 be sanctified through repentance. Do U deny John 6 and 1 John 2:19?

  • @all4Hisgloryalone Hebrews 6:4-6 - ...who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become PARTAKERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. ~ The Greek word 4 fall away means to deviate from the right path, turn aside, wander, to error, to fall away from the true faith. Watch myvid

  • @boldforjesus How come U omitted " In the case of "THOSE"? Why is Paul "Convinced" of better things concerning YOU, Beloved, things accompanying salvation" (vs. 9) if he was telling the "Beloved" (& not "Those" who were partakers of the benefits of church life, doctrine, & the blessings bestowed on the faithful that in turn reap benefits for the ,but were not "of us"), that they could lose their "ETERNAL" life?

  • @all4Hisgloryalone "Those" people were saved. They had the Holy Spirit. They were enlightened. But the people he was writing to in verse 9 and beyond still could lose salvation. "And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence..." (v. 11). Obviously that shoots down your true sheep are persevered by God. Verse 12 does it just as well = that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faight and patience inherit the promises.

  • @boldforjesus Obviously you have chosen to either ignore or decline my request both here and on your channel comment board. I would prefer phone conversation. Youtube's posting size restriction does not give enough space for me to give proper argumentation. This is not about a back and forth but about correctly understanding each others positions so that we may test them by Scripture.

  • @all4Hisgloryalone I replied to your request on my channel where you put it. If you want to correctly understand my position, then watch my 8 videos of me speaking against the Calvinist doctrine "Once Saved, Always Saved." I don't need to know your position. I've seen it all before. 3 of my 8 videos to prove "Once Saved, Always Saved" IS WRONG is correct interpretations of Scriptures that people like you use. Yes, your John 6 is there. John Calvin murdered someone for not believing like him.

  • @boldforjesus So let me get this straight, I should watch your videos so i can understand your position, but U have no need 2 understand mine or watch any of my 34 videos. #1 By your usage of "once saved always saved" & "eternal security",which are both phrases originally used by the opposing side as a taunt/ mockery/ or 2 misrepresent the actual position, U prove 2 me that you are not interested in representing views accurately. #2 John Calvin did not murder Servetus and that is a non sequiter

  • @all4Hisgloryalone Yes, get it straight. You should watch my videos because YOU told ME you wanted to understand my position. John Calvin DID murder Servetus. Calvin had him arrested, convicted, put in a dungeon for 2 months, and burned at the stake on October 27th, 1553. God gets the glory for burning someone for 30 minutes before he died? No, the servant of the devil did what his father wanted him to. John 8:44 applies to John Calvin.

  • @boldforjesus I read your reply & it was really sad. Im a potential murderer& untrustworthy because Im a Calvinist? Your comments and the way you conduct yourself in your videos show me that you are irrational.

BTW I am an open air preacher & evangelist which you would know if you saw my channel. And if you knew anything about the history of missions you would find that Calvinist are largely responsible for some of the greatest missionary & evangelistic efforts known 2 man. Nice strawman

  • @all4Hisgloryalone Yes is the answer to your question. You are a Calvinist and John calvin has someone burned at the stake for 30 minutes to die. Calvin had him murdered. Since you follow Calvin, you might want to do it too. So you preach? Scripture says if the blind lead the blind they both fall into a ditch. I don't care that you call me irrational. All you are is full of sin. Calvinism makes you think you have the license to sin.

  • @boldforjesus BA-ZINGA!

  • thanks for demonstrating why we don't have to worry about calvinist comedians taking over the world anytime soon . . . like, maybe never.

  • @roaringwaterbay hmmm, sounds like another video! .."If Calvinists ruled the World"...

  • That's just sad...:-P

  • @TheCrushmaster Dangit! I see I didn't make Joel the Immersers 'Blogs to Visit" list...

  • It worked on my wife but that is because she is one of the Elect!

  • @luckypat That's funny that was my proposal line to my wife, "Honey, you are the elected one...will you marry me?"

  • this made me nearly fall out of my chair

  • @xmrshanleyx I'm glad that wasn't in the cards! Thx

  • @mesmith26 i was predestined to remain in my chair by the irresistable grace of God, lol...sorry to see u get so much hateful comments, I think its funny and all my Calvinist friends do too

  • This was funny. I'll admit I chuckled a bit, especially on the part where it said,'Youre name must be Grace because youre Irresistable." Even though it doesnt quite accurately represent what Calvinism teaches, still funny, but I won't quibble. There were some parts where the theologian in me couldnt follow the joke all the way through on some points, but for the most part, I get it, I get it.

  • @zmode82 Thanks for the comment, my humor and theology are both occasionally erratic, I have learned to live with it!

  • @zmode82

Hey friend, its a joke. It seems to me a joke well grounded in the facts. But its a joke. Let us sit back, and have a good laugh.

As for those poor calvinists who feel that the laugh is towards them...., here's something that they should think A LOT about it: START THINKING LESS.

    -.

  • Finney would not approve ;-)

  • @jrou111 He may not approve, but being an Ex-Calvinist himself it may rouse up a bit of nostalgia :)

  • You all are way over thinking this. It's just uninteresting and not funny.

  • There is a place for joking, in showing humor or contradiction in another's view. But when one has to resort to straw-men, and false representations of another view, then joking becomes irresponsible. Videos like this only work to spread a false view of historic Calvinism, but representing it as something it isn't, and by doing so, slander's Scripture in the process. Does no one fear God or Scripture anymore? Let us change our culture not be changed by it.

  • @mesmith26 I realize your just trolling yet sadly your responses so immaturely deal with a really important topic, that it makes me sad you would make something that turns people on or off to Christianity - like predestination- into a joke of such low caliber. This is a subject taught in Scripture, and it should be better handled than your glib remarks. If you cannot respect the holy things of God, please refrain from comment.

  • @mactos86 too funny. Each pickup line addresses the 5 points of Calvinism also called the doctrines of grace. I also have a degree in theology and religious studies. So to imply a lack of knowledge about the subject and spreading false representations is indeed humorous.

  • @mesmith26 so because you have a degree means everything you believe, or have learned is true? I guess you are above correction? PhD's get the doctrines of Grace wrong all the time. Just stating them doesn't mean you understand what they really mean, nor how they ought to be rightly used. The reason I don't like this video isn't because no one can disagree with the doctrines of grace, but because it was so unimaginative and trite, I.E not clever in my opinion.

  • This video attempts to mock and discredit the doctrines of Grace, by taking them out of context and making them look foolish. If this is meant to bring any discussion on theology to the glory of God, this video is the equivalent to just mocking name calling, which does no good. If it is just for a good laugh, I personally do not find it funny, only because I find it poorly written. Your own personally theology doesn't matter in this regard, I find either case to just be poor judgement No offense

  • Predestined and predictable are not the same, nor flow from each other. Predestination is the idea that it was destined before hand, by an intelligence with power. Prediction is the idea that one is guessing about the future based on none, or some, or all knowledge. While something predestined can only happen, something predicted can actually not happen. Does that make sense?

  • Of course God only makes perfect predictions, because he has perfect knowledge, because he has the power to predestine. Because God predestines, He thus knows what he is going to do, and because he knows what he is going to do, and has the power to do it, he can perfectly predict what will happen: because he is predicting his own actions according to his own power.

  • @mactos86 hence the assertion that the comment was predictable. Not necessarily by me, unless I had been given direct revelation about the nature of the unfurling of God's hand in history and You Tube comments. BTW, you say that predestination and prediction don't flow from each other and then you give a circumstance in which they do (e.g God) . Unfortunately, you couldn't do anything about making that mistake as it too was predestined.

  • Lame, not funny, nor does it even get "Calvinism" right. Not that I am against making fun of people, including Calvinists, but this wasn't written very well. Sorry to burst your bubble.

  • @mactos86 this comment was predestined and thusly predictable

  • Comment removed

  • If I told you that your soul is totally depraved, would you hold it against me.

  • @RomansGalatians hahaha, that is good stuff, I actually liked the one you removed as well!

  • LOL

  • Your mouth is saying no but unconditional election is saying yes!..ha ha

    It is predestined girl!

  • So funny!... I can see God has blessed you already...ha ha!...that voice reminds me of my work out partner:)...

  • Lol!!!

  • LOL

  • ROFL!!!!! so awesome!!!

  • HAHAHAHA!!!! that was awesome! i don't even now what calvanist or armenian is, but that was awesome! :P

  • hahaha I liked the lame joke

  • @InformationPollution best part lol

  • @bluefish704 Thanks, glad you liked it!

  • THAT WAS BRILLIANT!
