  • I LOVE this <3

  • Even better than the arrangement Dr. Demento played back in the day. Why more Oscar Brand isn't on CD is a mystery to me. He belongs there as much as anybody else. so what if he's naughty? There's a place for that in this world.

  • Totally not added this to my favourites....

  • When i was younger i dont remember this version of this song i only remember the johnny so long at the fair one but i do like this one.

  • genis

  • I sang this song at Mangan's Irish Hut in Mount Clemens, MI back in the mid-70's! I could never remember all the words, only the chorus part.

  • Hangin around w family and this popped into ma head. brilliant

  • love this song

  • That voice has to be Pete Seeger.

  • Brings back fond memories of Timmy and Timmy at Southgate Tavern, Highland Falls, NY circa 1978. Good ol' days.

  • LOL...I have not heard this in years....I used to sing this as a kid back in the early 70's.....great memories.

  • who sings this?

  • @sprigmom Oscar Brand !

  • i got stuck in the lavatory today lol

  • this is so cute! :)

  • Ooowkaay

  • One of my all time favorite songs. THANK YOU FOR POSTING IT! And bravo brilliant job on the claymation. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

  • fantastic, i had a good laugh, thats brilliant,

  • Apparently, rumour has it it was based on a true story.

  • Methinks I counted more than seven.

  • Oscar Brand, born in 1920 and nowin his late 80's, is one of the all time greats, along with Pete Seeger.

Oscar the Grouch was named after this humorous Canadian when he worked on Sesame Street in the early 1970's.

    Francis J. O'Reilly

  • The animation is a bit jerky, you could use quite a bit more frames but other than that the character and set design is quite stellar. The song of course is hilarious. Props.

  • :( :( :(

  • Umm what??

  • I was shocked you found anything to critique and then say props? I hope its not your v-chip or connection. If you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything(basically), is that what elders told us as little children.

  • I was giving constructive feedback, I said it could use more frames that's all. The rest is all positive. I think it was a good job and the characters and set was very well built! So props, it is a good video.

  • I didnt see anyone askin U for help or opinions, its a finished product that went off to a contest so your critique can only hurt it was a slap with a good job behind it a half compliment. I wonder why U could not just sit back and watch and clap. What have you done?.

  • I'm an artist and animator myself. Commenting is naturally a way of giving feedback. I wasn't saying that it was a bad piece of art, quite on the contrary.

  • Oh cool thats different talkin shop Im just used to trolls so much so I ended up actin like one! lol

  • heard it off hugo d

  • I learned this song form my mother

  • It would be much better if it conveyed our rich cultural diversity!

  • watch him climb that chair

  • Excellent.......I've been singing it for years, eveyone thinks I made it up! now I can prove it is real!

    Thanks!

  • @willowbud haha same with my mom she was singing this to my brothers and sister and they thought she was going crazy xD

  • back in the days of yore when Billy Connolly was a musician, as opposed to a comedian he sang this on a folk album.

  • Love it!

  • Great fun. Congratulations!

  • This is a totally different version from the one I've known, but still very clever. Thank you for posting it.
