I think that's a fictional story because foreign people weren't busted in Carandiru prision just because of drugs. Carandiru was on of the worst prisions of Brazil, there's a movie about there.

Look at the major amounts of homeless on the street, with poor health care, the inability to find work, and business bailouts paid by the government these past years. The U.S. isn't even free anymore, especially in democratic voting (Bush won even though he didn't have the most votes!)

USA does not have the best economy in the world, it's debt ridden, one of the reasons they go exerting their firepower everywhere to keep up that illusion of being the most powerful, they import way too many goods. Ugh, National Geographic LIES! Seriously, every time I see these episodes it just sounds so FAKE. This one especially. I am from Brazil, and I know for a FACT that if you are caught with drugs, and you are educated (especially if you are American) there is no way in hell they will put you inside Carandiru. There are many nicer prisons in Brazil for the corrupt politics and the occasional Gringos that get caught doing stupid shit. This just proves me that this show is fake.

I'm from Brazil and know this kind of crime don't exist in favelas, international dealers don't go to favelas, the drugs in favelas are so mixed with other stuffs, people who like drugs dont buy it at favelas. To export the drug they need the drug to be "clean". so it goes directly from colombia, bolivia, venezuela, sometimes crossing brazil. Brazil buy drugs like in europe and usa, brazil doesnt export it.
