  • Gross!!! How do they develope? where do they come from?!

  • How can i stop lice?

  • @SuperTOTALMAYHEM That depends on what you mean - for instance: How do you stop an infestation? How do you help prevent an infestation? How do you keep them out of your school?

  • Only if the louse climbed on to her brush and then on to your head. Just have a someone check your hair. If you don't see lice or nits, you are fine.

  • I HAVE A ? MY FRIEND HAS HEAD LLICE AND WE USED THE SAME BRUSH ! Could i get her lice ? please answer back

  • nothing to be embaressed about? i became one of the most unpopular kids at school for more than a year coz of them.

  • i wore a hoodie when i hug a girl she had head lice bu they were eggs will i catch them ?

  • @funtheasnsome Only if one of them crawled on your head

  • My head lice are tame...

  • im in that weird part of youtube again arent i

  • I itch all the time . mmmm yummy headlice

  • HEEELP i have a problem!! An infected person (my friend) touched/combed my hair with her hand. Will i get head lice?

  • @TwillightHeavens The only way to get lice from your friend is to have them crawl from her head to yours. Just because she touched you doesn't mean you will get lice.

  • Disturbing.

  • eww

  • that is so sick

  • its very weird my nurse said that i had eggs and i checked through my hair and i had nothing STUPID nurse

  • Wow, that school nurse is alot better looking than the ones I had.

  • hi.

  • Im so glad I've never had lice. Its weird considering that I have always had long hair.

  • Lol i had lice and I was so pissed i kept combing and combing for about 4 months and they were gone one day!

  • @THEsurvivalistX Actually fleas and ticks are very different then head lice. I would consult a physician before trying any other product besides an FDA registered head lice treatment.

  • I've got headlice AND dandruff. The idea of the insects themselves doesn't bother me, it's what my friends at school will say. :-(

  • @ninthdoctorfan i feel the exact same way! ive had them for like 30 days and didnt even tell my dad i dont want him to tell my friends or family cause it will be embarissing:(

  • @ninthdoctorfan yeah ik i never had it but never tell ur friends keep it to ur family and urself! :D

  • WHAT ABOUT IF YOU HAD IT FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS? AND IT KEEP ON COMING BACK.(MY CHILD HAS IT)

  • @Eagle2676 Then you need to look for the source of reinfestation and try to tackle that. We also make Licefreee Everyday Shampoo that helps prevent lice infestation which could help you. You just replace your normal daily shampoo with it. Walgreens is the only chain that carries it right now, or you can buy at our company website.

  • My sister found out she had lice yesterday and she is not a child, so i just wanted to warn you all that you can get it at any age. We're roommates and she always borrows my shit. Now i'm pretty sure i got lice too cause i've been feeling itchy. I'm going to have to cut my hair short now, and it pisses me off because i've been trying to grow it long for a while!!! What should i do? Should i tell my friends i can't hang out with them for a couple of weeks? Can i still live a normal life?

  • @JuicyShorts87 Well there is no need to panic, remove yourself from society, or cut your hair off. Just use an effective lice treatment. If you need to treat yourself, we recommend Licefreee Spray as it would be the easiest application and fastest solution, although it is best to have someone help you so they can see the top of your head. Licefreee Spray is available at Walgreens or the Tec Labs website. You are correct it can happen to anyone and lice prefer clean hair.

  • why are all the kids white

  • @ice1515151 Those were the kids that we had available to use for the video that day...

  • @TecLabsMktg hey plz i have a question i have alot of white flakes on my hair but some fall off by moving my hair around but some don't when i try to move them with my finger so i use a comb and they fall off, idk if this is lice or dandruff, when i take a shower with shampoo would the dandruff go away? because when i shower i still see all the white spots so i'm worried it might be lice plz help :(

  • @Uchiha3303 White flakes that fall off your head are not lice. The lice grab on to your hair and the eggs are glued to your hair shaft. Sounds like it could just be dandruff - maybe try a special shampoo for that.

  • @TecLabsMktg oo ok ty for the reply. i'll try to get an anti dandruff shampoo for it, wish me luck i hope it is dandruff thank you

  • I have lice right now and I've had them for almost 2 years! Not because I haven't done anything just because lice can be extremely hard to get rid of. This has effected (or affect still not quite sure which one is right) my social life. I recommend getting rid of them A.S.A.P. and not putting it off. They might look scary and intimidating, but they are harmless and don't cause direct bleeding. If you do bleed from lice it's usually because of intense scratching. Hope this helped (probably not)

  • Just a reminder that if you post comments with inappropriate language (i.e. cursing) we will not approve your comment. We will also not approve comments that suggest using treatments that are unproven or dangerous.

  • OMG!! I was scratching behind my ear n felt something n pulled it out n it was a lice!!!! I got lice now!!! Wuah!!

  • That is so stupid, sending them home because they have lice!

How embarrassing for them, missing out, it takes long to get rid of nits and lice, you cant just force them to miss out.

Urg, america is so stupid. No offense.

  • my head feels itchy when watch this :L ...

  • @classeycase101 The only way to know if you have lice or not is to look for them. If you don't see them in your hair, then you don't have them anymore.

  • what would you recommend to a person with lice that has curly hair?

  • @classeycase101 You would treat curly hair the same way you treat straight hair.

  • @classeycase101 cut it off! lol jokes...use mineral oil. douse the hair with it, the lice killing agents will still work, and the nit comb can get through the hair smoothly without ripping it out. Hope it helps!

  • The 1st time I heard of lice was on Aruther

  • ugggggggggggggh(drAMATIC NOISE) I had lice when i was in 4th grade. i took out my srunchie and found a little bug and I killed it on the desk, i then got home and was itching like crazy, i asked my mom to check my head and she was going bonkers...i had lice :( it was emberassing going to school. :( but now im as clean as a ...something clean, i guess

  • i hate lice :)

  • nasty lil' boogers arent they?

  • ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • What's the difference between a crab louse (I don't mean the ill tempered kind) and a head louse?

  • @confettistar A crab louse lives in the pubic hair area and head lice obviously in the hair on your head. They also look slightly difference. Crab lice have round bodies and head lice have long oval bodies. Other than that they are fairly similar.

  • @TecLabsMktg Actually I wasn't really expecting you to answer my question but I'm glad you did because I've always wondered if they were the same thing. Luckily I've never had either type. Thanks for the response.

  • or you could just shave your head

  • I just found out i have head lice and im gonna be so emberessed to go to school it sucks

  • Can black people get lice??

  • @richradtylr4 Yes but it is less common here in the United States

  • Thanks

  • What do the lice do? Do they kill people after they suck enough blood from their scalp?

  • @ShredWithEd No head lice will not kill you. Lice do bite into your scalp which creates lesions. As with any open wound, you can risk skin infection, but head lice are mostly an annoyance. They can multiply very quickly and can cause itching and pain. They easily migrate from one person's head to another.

  • @TecLabsMktg Why don't people let them stay in their head since they are only an "annoyance"?

I don't see the point in harming innocent souls who need to live on our heads to survive.

  • @TecLabsMktg If you would like to let them live on your head, that is your choice. The American Academy of Pediatrics have stated that head lice are not a health hazard. However, most of us prefer to not have bugs living on our head, and most schools have policies that keep children out of school with head lice. If you would like to host head lice on your scalp, I'm sure we could help you find some.

  • Lies! I mean, lice, nasty lice!

If you find lice on your child, it's always good to make sure he or she is in a comfortable place for treatment. Make sure this comfortable place is not more than a two or three hour drive away from the city.

  • do they suck you blood from your scaple

  • @lovesponys101 I believe you mean scalp? Yes, that is how they feed

  • my head started to itch about hearing that

  • @torres2476 i know right

  • gahhh......im going to go drown my scalp now. Just thinking about lice makes my head itch.

  • there s a lice epidimic going on world over.also other sucking insects like ticks.

  • this made me itchy! =\ lol

  • why not animals?

  • @bunnyz324 Animals have a different kind of lice that may attach to them. They do not get human head lice.

  • @bunnyz324 Because Animal hair isnt clean enough not attracting them for one(they are attracted to clean hair)

and secondly they cannot survive on animal blood.

  • sadly schools in Australia are NOT allowed to check individual heads for these pests, instead a note is sent home and we parents who do the right thing by checking and treating the kids are at the mercy that other parents will do the same sadly many parents are too proud to admit that their child could have headlice.

  • @TecLabsMktg my brother have lices so my mom check him every day with the metal comb 1-2 lices will fall and some 3-4 eggs and then nothing the next day she checks him again and maybe there will be no lices or eggs then again the other day and she could find 1-2 lices

  • @darkseer100 It sounds like new ones are hatching or he is getting re-infested. The best thing for your mother to do is consult a medical professional or pharmacist at the local drug store so they can help her find a head lice treatment that works. Most doctors have nurses on staff to answer these kinds of questions and won't charge anything for you to call them.

  • @TecLabsMktg ok tnx

  • lice can only make eggs in the hair right?

  • @darkseer100 When they lay eggs they are attached to the hair so yes.

  • @TecLabsMktg how much ours the lice can live off the hair?

  • @darkseer100 Adult lice rarely live beyond 36 hours. Nits will die within 2 weeks if dislodged from the hair shaft.

  • so if you just use someone else's hairbrush or comb, but they dont have lice, can that start a case of lice?

oh and if you are scratching your head, but your parents or school nurse says that you dont have lice, you can buy tea tree oil for your hair at a pharmacy. tea tree oil helps with a dry scalp, reduces syptoms of dandruff, and it also makes your hair " non-smelling " to the lice. . i used it when i had syptoms of mild dandruff and it did work

    this should help

  • so if you just use someone else's hairbrush or comb, but they dont have lice, can that start a case of lice?

  • @LMW1159 If the hairbrush or comb do not have live lice on them, then you would not get lice from that hairbrush or comb.

  • i have black hair & i itch my hair , like minor , not heavy & I'm very scare to get it ! HELP ME! Gives me tipss .!

  • @Jennyxxxable The best thing to do is have someone check your hair for you. If you don't see live lice or nits (eggs) then you may just have a dry scalp which is very common. We have pictures of lice and nits on our website at licefreee. com if that is helpful for you.

  • thumbs up if you scrached your head after this

  • what she says is wrong it has been scientifically proven in the uk that headlice like both clean and dirty hair

  • @xdarkxheadedxhunix yes I think they are attracted to the natural oils that some people produce.

  • @xdarkxheadedxhunix sounds like lice aren't picky!

  • you know what i find weird?

    why is it always kids?

never heard of headlice on just adult people.

  • @terrorlord15 Oh plenty of adults get head lice too. Kids just pass it along to each other more often at school, in sports, at camp, etc..

  • @terrorlord15 Im 20 and I just got lice and I cried I couldnt believe I had it. but like alot of people i talked to it happens to most.

  • I never had it and I hope I never do but now I am prepared if I do

  • i have lice my mom got some out but i still have more i hate scratching my hair!

  • @PixieHollowDawn28 If you mom needs help and would like to talk to someone, she can always call us toll free 1-800-482-4464 x 0

  • @TecLabsMktg thats ok my mom took them out it almost took the whole day

  • @PixieHollowDawn28 holly crap, really?

  • will it be harder to detect lice if you have curly hair? please respond.

  • @Atsushi2ja If you hair is thick and curly it could be more difficult as they tend to run away from light. Dark hair can be difficult too since the light become a darker color after they feed.

  • Freakin' ingenious lil parasites. Using a glue-like substance to attach it's eggs to one strand of hair. I was up all night removing nits after treating my daughter's hair with a special shampoo. And worst of all, according to this video, I need a stainless steel comb? I've been using the plastic comb that came with the shampoo treatment.

  • @nemesisbreakz If that plastic comb works for you, great! Most people find they break or that style of comb is ineffective. The stainless steel style is more sturdy and makes nit removal easier.

  • am i going to be the first one to say that the school nurse is a babe...

  • is it true that hair die and that gets ride of them as well

  • I hope I don't have lice ! I washed my hair three times last week and yesterday

    i wash my hair alot

    I'm black/afro american

  • @prettyyoungthing90 Why wash you hairr so much?? Typically, african americanss are only supposed to wash like once every two weeks if that. It keeps the natural oils in your hair and scalp, which makes it look good and shiny :D And helps it grow, but I wash my hair alot to... :P

  • I hate lice !!!!

  • @Leeexis i hate lice 2 girl

  • Is it true that only White people get lice?

  • @nuke572 No that is not true, but it is more rare for African Americans to get lice.

  • @nuke572 Its rare because afican american hair is course, thick and the scalp is usually greased. Lice like clean, easy to manuver hair, which in fact african american hair is not. So im half black, but my hair has the consistance of a caucasion person, but my brother who is also half black lucked out and got african american like hair, and my mom is african american.. So they USUALY wont get it.But it is still possible. But I can get lice :/ grosssss little buggers.

  • Someone posted a comment about using gasoline. Your comment was deleted because this is VERY dangerous. Do not use this method to treat head lice.

  • just to let people know if you are having trouble with head lice, when i was about 6 my mum bought me this stuff called full marks solution and it really worked for me! im not sure if it is available in the US .

  • @Buddy4life01 I do not believe that product is available in the United States

  • @TecLabsMktg Thats a shame it really worked for me, never got them again after using it.

  • @Buddy4life01 We, of course, recommend non-toxic Licefreee which is available at pharmacies in the US :-)

  • @TecLabsMktg i might email my auntie who is over in america she keeps saying her kids have lice i will recomend that to her :)

  • My kids seem to have lice all the time i'm sick of it. I check their hair every week. I even had to resort to shaving my little boys gorgeous long blond hair off :( I HATE HEADLICE!!!!

  • @clemarochies Have you tried Licefreee Spray? It is new and at Walgreens - people who have been dealing with head lice forever have found it finally ends their problem.

  • @TecLabsMktg Is it available in the UK?

  • @clemarochies Oh no, sorry. Only in the United States

  • ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! gave me the ibeejeeies.

  • i got head lice or i found out i had head lice today!!!!! what should i do?!

  • @kmanbestk0s Go to your local pharmacy and find a treatment you are comfortable with using - preferably non-toxic which means without pyrethrum or permethrin as the active ingredient. It is usually in the first aid section or the hair care section (Walgreens) In addition to treatment, be sure to wash bedding, vacuum the house and bad up stuffed animals. For more tips visit our website licefreee. com

  • i have head lice! :'( it just wont freakin go away! i got sent home today kuz all the girls in choir started telling everyone :( all i do is cry kuz the stupid lice doesnt go away :(

  • @stephanie141516

I found out my little sister had lice just the other day, I drowned every inch of her hair in Mayo and it seems to work. Leave it in for at least 2 hours, then wash your hair out. Comb it out and do a final check. Make sure and wash all your furniture and what not.

  • @Sammy1Martinez Yes some people use mayo, but if you just use Licefreee Spray, your done in minutes, it's non-toxic and all the nits are dead too. If you use Mayo be sure to comb out every nit. It only takes one to hatch to start it all over again.

  • hi have head lice right now:(

  • shave their heads! lol

  • Does peroxide kill them? I know it's a weird question, but I discovered I had head lice when I was about to dye my hair. A while afterwards they were nonexistent. I didn't have the chance to use any treatment, so I assumed my hair dye had killed them and the eggs. I checked daily for a while afterwards, and they were certainly gone.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 I have heard that hair dye can kill them, but I'm not sure if it's the peroxide.

  • a couple yars ago when my sister was in elementery school this girl gave her lice and it spred through my whole family and we got rid of it and now i went to a camp for my church and i got lice again it sucks nothing works for these little suckers it sucks being white LOL

  • if salt kills lice, then why not just take the kids to the beach?

  • @GeminiAzules It's the delivery system that is the key.

  • man it sucks to be at elementary school

  • i just got rid of lice its nasty i didnt touch my head at all it wasnt that bad but ewwwwww

  • @privitebunny96 How Did You Get Rid Of Them? I've Just Found Out I Have Them And Its So Annoying! :(

  • @AstridStar01Cp @AstridStar01Cp We have a ton of information at our Licefreee website (see video description for URL, Youtube won't let me post here). There is also a brochure you can download that has FAQ's. Click on Info for Parents - left side column, and then Free Downloadable Brochure - left hand column

  • @privitebunny96

its no big deal, they can be tedious, but are harmless

when my kid had em he would get em to fight an ant, but even to one ant they all lost..

  • why don't a fro Americans don't get lice? i often wondered that when i was growing up in elementary the black kids never got called for a check..

  • @reggie02062 I'm assuming you mean African Americans? They can get lice but it is more rare. Here is how it has been explained to me: Their hair is a different texture than other races and the lice commonly found in the US can't always latch on. However in Africa, the lice are slightly different and it is a common issue there as well.

  • @reggie02062 African americans dont often get lice because many african americans apply lots of hair oils and hair creams to their hair because the hair becomes more drier easier than white people and because african americans have these oils and creams in their hair lice dont have an easy time going through the hair as they would a white person

  • Just a reminder that trashy and indecent comments will be removed. thank you

  • makes me itch...eeeeeeeewwwwwww

  • Ughh I hate these little fuckers. I got over this like a week ago and they had a fiesta up there. It was not fun one bit but I'm so thankful their gone and out of my head.

  • @Leslierockks Yes that is Oregon. Tec Labs, makers of Licefreee, are located in Albany, OR

  • OMFG i have head lice TT^TT omg and i knew it, but i havent old my mom or dad, and im fuckin' itchin right now dammit, lord TT^TT

  • um i have a question if there was alot of head lice in my hair could i die?

  • One concern with head lice is that you can get an infection from the wounds they create on your scalp. Head lice bite into your scalp when they feed causing small lesions. As with any wound, it is important to make sure these small lesions are kept clean to help prevent infection. If you think you have an infection, it is important to consult a physician.

  • @tirckyspeed haha no

  • Where did these creatures came from beside someone not washing their hair? I guess they were made to be in the hair. You get rid of them, then they come back.

  • Actually they prefer clean hair. Human hair is just the environment they live in. They bite into your scalp and feed off your blood which is why they itch. Creepy isn't it?

  • OMG im so scared of lice!!! i need to take a bath more often now!!!!!!

  • dont they like cleaner heads cause they cant stay on your head very well with greasy hair and plus i dont think it tates good for them.. BTW its not that bad

  • @ThemaskedGrl They do prefer clean heads but they can stick to greasy hair too.

  • @cute25girl listen chick its not about dirtyness or cleanlyness it doesnt matter every body can get it and you should bathe regualry if u dont??

  • @anzlie97rocky

i had it when i was 4. i used to love the feeling of the school nurse combing my hair with the lice comb or that tube that sucks them up.

  • My grandaughters teacher used a brush on her hair, next thing you know itch itch itch.. My daughter was PISSED!!!

  • this scared the shit otta me

  • CREEPY

  • vinager on hair end of lice

  • they are scary looking

  • oooh watching this makes me sick knowing i have them in my hair rrrgh

  • Headlice are cute...

  • JissySez: In a way...i suppose...in a weird way...but their nasty lil things.

  • mate if you have had them as long as me then they are not cute damn annoying when trying to not ich in class

  • GOD I have the same problem, it's killing me. I can't fuckin' get rid of them, and it's a torture not being able to scratch ur head in class.

  • yeahhhh......i hate themmm

  • i'm on my 2nd treatment. it's important to mark boundaries with children known to have lice. my girls r 17 and 1 of their friends has had it for years. i didn't allow her over but she came and spread the lice around anyway. last year i got them and thought i'd kill'em good. went way over board and almost killed myself in the process. i was very sick for about a month. read the directions

  • Yes, you have to be careful with head lice pesticides that use pyrethrum and permethrin. An alternative is to use a non-toxic product such as Licefreee! which is even effective against pesticide resistant head lice.

  • try using olive oil

  • OMG I dont know why im watching this, im scratching my head just from watching this...LOL

  • OMG fucking gross. i just found out i have this! im gunna cry! :(

  • Gross!! I'm not going to lie. All my life, catching lice has always been my BIGGEST fear...I've never caught it. I dont even know why I'm watching it. =). Lol

  • Uh Huh Huh!! HEAD Lice..

  • ok i have treted my daughter with oil and almost every chemical nown to man what else can i do

  • this may sound completely weird but when I was young I had lice and my mother could not get rid of it. She had tried everything until my school nurse told her to get a jar of mayo and put it onto my head then cover my head with a shower cap for about an hour then comb and clean. Its supposed to smother them it was the only thing that worked. hope this helps

  • omg my mom had to do that to me and my sister when we were younger my sis hates mayo now but i still like it lol

  • Response to blueangel573:

Use tea tree oil. You can find it at your local stores. Just ask the pharmacist. It works wonders and burns the nits. Smells minty to. =] Just apply 2 or more bottles depending on thickness of hair, wrap in a towel, wait as many hours as you want, then wash out with normal shampoo and conditioner. Repeat as needed. This leaves a good smell in hair as well. Hope this helps! =]

  • i rember getting it when i was 10 treatments didt work but hair dye did :)thank god i havent had it since then lol

  • really? thanks. that's what i'm thingking too.

  • excused from school? oh i love these euphemisms...excused. NO jack, you gotta get out and take care of those head bugs!! we don't need a whole school of people with head bugs.

    <
