  • Terrorist Want To Kill George Stepanopolis And He Is Playing Politics With This.Typical Liberal Logic

  • Terrorist Want To Kill George Stepanopolis?

  • Georgie S, is such a prostitute for the machine. Get down to issues. Congress has abdicated its authority to the executive brand; then, they cry because it has too much power: The War Powers Act, Fast track, it goes on-and-on.

  • Oh so then... you = global warming fanatic = fear.

  • I've always wondered, and maybe you can tell us: What exactly do Global Warming Deniers fear so much that they feel it necessary to deny mountains of evidence and ridicule those who believe it is something we must deal with?

  • Global warming is real, but not your version of global warming. Sea levels will not rise 20 feet as Al Gore predicted, the IPCC predicts instead a 1 ft level rise over the next 50 years, manageable. NASA states that solar output has been increasing .05% each decade. Mars is seeing global warming, do they have SUVs there? I reject the shear fanaticism and alarmism over global warming.

  • The problem is the stats you quote are VERY much in the minority and come from some VERY questionable sources, whereas the data you reject is very much agreed upon in the scientific community with more than a substantial amount of research to support it.

But who you trust is not the issue. It's the magnitude of the GAMBLE you are willing to take based upon such questionable sources. If the GW Community is wrong, what do you lose? If you're wrong, what do you lose then?

  • On stats: There are lies and there are statistics. Anyone can bend a poll to their liking.

  • JQ: 1,000 Global Warming scientists are all "skewing the facts" and fudging the data to push a political agenda and therefore can not be trusted, but a few fringe scientists funded by Big Oil and the coal industry are selfless noble researchers deserving of our trust. Am I reading you correctly?

  • Its a problem to be sure, but not one that trumps AIDs, malaria, poverty or MORE SEVERE problems the world faces. Emotional knee jerks reactions have been responsible for some of the worst catastrophes in history.

  • you dont need george to tell us this!!

  • Ok, I'm looking at Europe.

    Still looking...hmm...

Nup, don't see any catastrophic upsets of power. A couple more terrorist events than the USA, but then "Europe" is about twenty countries. If you counted that many American countries along with the USA, "America" would be a whole lot more terrifying than Europe.

  • Comedian Steven Wright used to tell a joke about naming his dog: "Stay!". "Come here, Stay!", "Come, Stay!", "Here, Stay!"

When you've got someone constantly telling you to be afraid... "We're safer but not safe" and "vote for us because the terrorists are still out there but we'll protect you", you make voters neurotic.

  • In GOPjesus's defense, he/she did say "on HIS generation". Hitler is not of Shrub's generation. Both leaders claimed they were doing the Lord's work, with their actions resulting the deaths of hudreds of thousands of innocents.

I too dislike "Hitler" analogies. I think it belittles Hitler's crimes. But given the opportunity, Dub would not fall far behind given half a chance.

  • Thinkn about more than just the holocaust. Look at the structure of german society after the national socialists took power. Look at the invasions to "preemptively" defend the homeland/fatherland, look at the domestic laws. Look at more than just the simple explanations.

Once you start comparing more than just "gassing people", you'll see way too many similarities, and not many differences.

  • the biggest terrorist acts are organized by people who want terrorism to be an issue..

    WHAT ABOUT RUNNING THE COUNTRY??

    how's your money going citizens?

    Bush is full of bushit

  • Indeed Bush is a fool. but people must to listen Stephanopoulos for many reasons because he knows Bush is devil in disguise.

  • bush is one head of the hydra that is the hitler of this generation.

  • I agree with you on Bush's dirty deeds after all he lies about everything and denies misleading people. people need to listen to Mr. Stephanopoulos' reports.

  • Bush is indeed a psycho but it's the Steph boy I'm talkin about.

  • George is a great guy and I agree with him on this.

  • well

    DUH!

  • It's funny, someone talks of dealing with terrorist in a mature matter and is accused of "fearmongering". Look to Europe to see the cost of not taking Islamic terrorist seriously.

  • Bush is not "discussing terrorist in a mature matter [sic]", he's preying on peoples fears due to sinking poll numbers. Are you so stupid that you need these people to tell you to be afraid all the time? You *should* be afraid if you are counting on these incompetent boobs to protect you.

  • He's doing this because of sinking poll numbers, oh really? Why was he saying the same thing in 2001,2002 and 2003 when his poll numbers were about 40 points higher?

I'm not sure Republicans are afraid all the time. Like I said before, there are people out there that want to kill Americans. Mentioning that fact isn't trying to scare people, just remind them that there are people out there that want to kill them. You can laugh that threat off or do something about it.

  • He didn't say it in 2001 (see my "Powell/Rice" video), in 2002 he was drumming up support to invade Iraq. In 2003 he used fear to win an election. The number of times they raised the "terrorist threat level" fell to ZERO in 2005 after the election, and now in 2006, another election year, the rhetoric has returned.

  • Bush is doing a great job of creating terrorists - He should be listed as Bin Ladens' new #2

  • yeah, finally! feels like americans have been frightened sheep since 911, they see this shit head for what he really is, a fearmonger, finally, finally finally

  • And maybe some day people in other countries will stop seeing 40% of Americans as the voice of all Americans, simply because they don't like Americans.

  • the whole world has begun to hate the US because of the administration. what a surprise.

  • I never seen a pres more happy to see terror alerts than President Bush.

  • yups.. notice all the terror alerts stopped once he won/stold the election... even the state or severate state wide back out .. no highten alert at all .. and no events happen at all.. a time u figure for sure terrorist would strike.. but nothing.. pray for democrat or other people ... fate

  • Please go out and vote in November.

  • I wont be voting only because with the electronic machines they now have in place, do you honestly think they will be legit? It doesn't matter who we vote for. It matters who has all of the money. Follow that, and you'll find the puppet masters!

  • You need to vote because they can only steal *close* elections. Stolen elections that should have been blowouts for the other side would raise too much suspicion. Note that every stolen election has been in a close race decided by fewer than 5 percentage points.

If you don't vote, the terrorists... ie the GOP... win. :)

  • Have you checked your state to see what kind of voting machines they use? Have you done anything to make sure your vote counts? Most states have now adopted laws requiring a paper trail because concerned voters demanded them. This excuse you're making doesn't fly.

  • If you don't vote, they don't need to try to steal it. GO VOTE.
