@estyron27858: Nah, rocks near the Ocean's edge are mostly rounded due to erosion, and if you practise there regularly, your feet get used to the feeling of the little buggers. After a while you start to love the feeling. (I grew up in the Carribean and practised on the beach, even taught martial arts there!) Peace! ;)
