I have been at the wheel on ships going under that bridge several times, looks huge from below like that. The train always seemed to pass over us when we went under as well.
About "Americans using the outdated measurement" –we were changing in the 1960’s and 70’s and highway signs with MPH & KPH were appearing. Even my America car had a mix of hardware needing a 2nd sets of wrenches or spanners for those of you who don’t drive on the “right” side of a highway :-) . Then the push slowed almost to a stop but it’s still in progress. Now as watched this and the NYC Subways video that new Windows 7 unit converting calculator came in handy a few times.
I love how this documentary always uses the metric system. I always get annoyed by Americans using the outdated measurement system: inches, feet, yard, ounces, pint......
@RapistAsshole Senor rapist, I am an American, you're f'n right, we're the only people that use this other stupid system. I hate it sooooo much metric should be used everywhere, we're just egoistic stubborn jerks that can't accept a simple system like this one. =D
@candoyja DEFINITELY. as an american with many danish friends, its annoying when they go "her house is only like 800 m away" and i dont know a bit of what that means. stupid hicks and rednecks want to keep our american ways, TO HELL WITH THAT. switch to metric dammit!!!
it is some thing amazing, iam planing to drive through it from copenhagen to Malmo this summer when we go vacation to copenhagen me , my wife and the kids , iam so excited
would it not be cheaper to reclaim all the land between Denmark and Sweden and divide the strait instead of building a bridge or tunnel and then just laying down the highway like on land?
i'm a 13 year old boy, but i love video like this, and my dad tell me alot about denmarks history;p I'm actually glad that he do it, because then i'm better at school:D

Depressingly, we here in the U.S. can barely keep our roads paved nowadays, much less build anything on this scale!

It's not cheap to drive over that bridge.

I love the Danish Accent
sodamagi1 1 year ago
@sodamagi1 The Danish don't really have an accent. They tend to pick up accents from whoever taught them English, for some reason.

@candoyja No American even likes using it. Everyone at my school(s) have hated the American system, and we love the simplicity of the metric system.
