That's Danielle. She was from Coconut Musume's first generation.

Coconuts Musume was a group of girls from Hawaii, which was around in the beginning of Hello!Project. You may know of Mika Todd from Mini Moni, well she got her start in that group. You could look them up on Wikipedia to find out more about them.

Has nobody taken notice of Shinoda Miho? I didn't read all of the comments, but it seems she's not even being mentioned. It's probably due to the fact that she wasn't really seen in the video to begin with, but talk about NO LINES!!!!!!

I thought that in later concert performances, they would at least balance out singing lines, but apparently the trend that this song set made more sense. I'll bet that Momusu sales will go up once Tsunku starts giving all the girls more equal parts. Couplings!

Wow this video is certainly fascinating to me from an anthropological perspective. There's a mix race singer at the beginning, then the pseudo-lesbian romance at the end...I'm not saying that in a perverse way or as something bad but it is truly amazing. Would this happen in an American video? Somehow I think not. This video is cool.

I bet Kaori Iida and Nozomi Tsuji felt like they had to get married 'cause they had no other choice. Anyways, that's my opinion and I still think it's unfair what they do to these girls.

They did a good job considering. The song, I think, stinks. Their voices had nothing to do with it, the material leaves lots to be desired. Anyway, they still were cute back then. I still think they were exploited on. The companies made a fortune off them and the girls ended up with NOT much of a future 'cause they struggle to get work. It sucks. Just look what happened to Ai Kago, Kaori Iida and Asuka Fukuda. I'm glad some got out of it early on. Still this whole idol thing is crap for them.

imo, tsunku should've put nakazawa or danielle as main singer for this song. goto's voice just doesn't do it, she can't take it all the way.

Actually I saw the video of all four performing the song separately during recording and danielle's version was the best, in my opinion. I was shocked cause I didnt expect it. hell, even tsunku was shocked. goto just plain sucked the most of the four. but tsunku is the producer, not me.

I guess you don't know how the H!P system works......she was a member of a Hawaiian group called Coconuts Musume and the "shuffle groups" of which this is one consisted of people from different groups "shuffled" into temporary summer groups. That's why she's singing this song with Morning Musume girls.

I agree about Maki's early days. Her voice wasn't really well trained back then, and at times she just sounded downright bad. But I think that's true of all the new generations. It takes them a while to settle in and stop sounding like crap. ^^;

Also, I have to say it really wasn't fair for them to stick Danielle in all that tulle. x__x Makes her look a lot bigger than she is, and with Maki prancing about in a tiny skirt, it's just all the worse.

i think she maki was meant to sound that way back then. she was only 14 at the time so she had to sound young. that young voice in the song really makes it sound so sad. if you guys know the meaning of the song then her voice actually compliments the song.
