I haven't seen any polyphemus cocoons around my yard this year. =( im so sad. but i'll never forget Fuji two summers ago, she was beautiful :) rip fuji! <3

Would be cool to bait males if you get a girl... If there are a lot of polys in your area around it's amazing how many males can show up! :-)

Yup - 6" across is a common size for these big moths. The world's largest (an Atlas Moth from SE Asia) can reach over 12"!

@jcmegabyte True, the Atlas has the largest wing area, but I think in terms of span, the White Witch moth has it beat, but it's really rare. I think it's over 12" too.
