  • 2011秋の白鳥はもっとよかったよ!!心なしかいつもの素晴らしいジャンプにも磨きがかかっていたような

  • I'm a dancer too, so i can understand the people who sai he is not a True prince in the Rol, but at last ballet is a show to enjoy and sense and in that case i always whant to se that kind of dancers.

He did things incredibles as a tecnical dancer!

And times are changing, now black people as Carlos Acosta are doing principals, afew years ago that was totally imposible...

We have to try to open our minds.

  • Leonnidik: You body Nazi's amaze me. Ballet should be about story, technique and music, not how long or short someone's appendages are.....he is fantastic. What do you think he should do, have that terrible surgery to lengthen his legs? Do you not understand that the animal kingdom (including humanity) is filled with different creatures with different structures?

  • @Leonnidik you are right, now l go to sleep ,have a good day ,was a plasure ending the day excanging opinions with dance lovers.

  • @pediatrapaola - Go dream a Pas' with Assylmuratova in Bayadere.

  • @Leonnidik leo yesterday while disscussing about kuma ,l did the exemple of john markovsky ,did you see him dancing sometime ,may be in some 60's early 70's tourne of kirov baleet in ny?l saw in leningrado, and knew personally, was a marvelous dancer imo,as prince type.

  • @pediatrapaola - I live in a democracy by choice. I do not believe in the censorship of opinions. There is nothing like the truth, no matter how you put it, it's still the truth.CIAO!

  • @Leonnidik with him and elena evteeva is posted on you tube, panov is the jester.interesting prodution with dream female corps, imo.

  • @pediatrapaola excuseme leo but can't undrestand your answer,l was no longer speacking about kuma,l only asked if you may be during some kirov turnee in NY in late 60' first 70's had occasion to see dancing live john markovsky former husband of alla osipenko,as l told l saw in leningrado in 79 ,and liked him a lot,so was interested about your opinion,he was imo a marvelous prince type dancer, and despite his height ,not less than 186 cm with a technique of all respect.one swan lake with him is

  • @Leonnidik to be more clear what in my opinion save him to be a strong caracter dancer only ,condition that his structure surerly would had confined him,is the mirecoulos airborne and soft quality of his dancing.the technique is as you told to spare,no doubt.

  • Those short legs are just not princely. Sure his arabesque turns are silky smooth and has technique to spare, but that is not a Prince. I'm sure he's not partnering Zakharova in this.

  • @Leonnidik No, he is not dancing with Zakharova in this.

  • @Leonnidik Leo - having vented *most* of your spleen on Ivan Vasiliev you have now turned your attention to Tetsuya! I am a little disturbed by your pathological dislike of short dancers - must have its roots somewhere in your past ... :-) Come on - Tetsuya is/was a magnificent technician - one of the best we had at the RB, until we lost him. :-( It takes more than long legs to make a prince! I think he's great in this!

  • @Pearlaceous - This channell edited the full exchange between PedP. and I. So, the full narrative is missing. You give me too much credit calling me pathological. It's an observation and a reality in ballet, whether we like it or not.

  • @Leonnidik I do hope you realize I am only joking with you! :-)

  • @Leonnidik In my opinion i don't care about the short legs, I have short legs and it really annoys me when people say that. If you think that that's what makes a prince then you have clearly missed the point of ballet and its artistic intention, story telling, and passion. Although Tetsuya Kumakawa is not know for his performance he has the regal artistry and poise that suits this role to him. he has made it his own, what a lovely dancer!

  • @Leonnidik how come he is not a prince? to me he looks good as a young prince who has lots of energy and is looking for love... not all princes have to be aristocrat fags y'know....

  • @Leonnidik you just jelly :3

  • @Leonnidik "ballet isn't modeling business, its about dancing." -Maria Kochetkova. Who cares what his body is like?

  • What company is he with?

  • @SuperBalletgirl101 He is with the K-Ballet Company here, the company he founded after leaving the Royal Ballet.

  • really l can't undrestand people that says he is not good in prince roles, kuma is one of the greatest dancer of our time.

  • @pediatrapaola I agree!! Thank you for your comment!

  • @pediatrapaola good body proportions for ballet dont garantee a prince rol, a good performance, a good technique and confidence yes...he got that for sure..

PD: english is not my primary language, sorry if I mispelled something

  • @100Czar kuma is a fantastic dancer one of the greatest technicians of all times and also if his proportions are not perfect l would like that everyday would be born one kuma.

  • @pediatrapaola totally agree, not just his technique is good also his confidence in stage, he is an artist too ;)

  • @100Czar his technique is umbelivle, and he is a very rafined dancer too.world class.
