I believe that Pooh is seven berzillion times better then Mr. Toad. Mr. Toad was just painted flats! Sure, Pooh has one or two painted flats as well, but at least it has a CLEAR STORYLINE. And it doesn't end with you being hit by a train!
So all you Mr. Toad fans - do us all a huge favor and stop whining over how much you hate Pooh. He's awesome, and Mr. Toad stinks.
I agree with you--most have forgotten that the Mr. Toad ride didn't really have any outstanding visual effects,and the scenery was mostly painted flats,unlike the Snow White and Peter Pan rides,which are still open.
If they'd updated it to be more like its Disneyland counterpart,then it'd be worth riding.
Anyone remember the "naked lady painting" in the ride?
I remember Mr. Toad's Ride as being kinda hokey and the Winnie the Pooh ride does look more inventive and closer to Disney standards. Thanks for another great "Mouse Flicks" episode.
