  • Greatest rendition of one of my favourite songs!!

  • awesome!

  • Fuck me!What the music!!!

  • Great Stuff!

  • RIP <3

  • RIP to a a legend. Been a fan since Elliott Yamin turned me on to him a few years back, this guy CAN'T BE BEAT.

  • Well..ok so he did not write the words but the tune is just amazing and OK so others sing this much better but the slighty excentric way he does this makes me want to meet this guy for a cool coffee..HIS doing the girl bit adds to the humour..

  • QUE GRANDE ENORME!!!!!!!

  • love them so much

  • I saw him perform at a ucla jazz concert on a field trip once. I didn't even know who he was back then.

  • Ever hear "Bennies From Heaven"? Based on Pennies From Heaven? Very nice as well...

  • LMAO!! ... listen at 1:36, he says i'm really feeling in the NUDE for love ... hahahahaha ... Love James Moody, love Diz! 5 stars!

  • James Moody, you are "insane"-- insanely great!!!

  • If you acn get your hands on this concert, watch it. So many legends in that orchestra. James Moody (sax), Arturo Sandoval (trumpet), Giovanni Hidalgo (congas), Paquito D'Rivera, Dizzy...too many to name..incredible night.

  • Don't forget about Danilo Perez on piano, as well as Claudio Roditi on trumpet.. Airto on percussion... Ignacio Berroa on drums.. Steve Turre & Slide Hampton on bone...

  • Now that is how you sing this tune. Take your time, relax, feel the song, enjoy. What a beautiful, beautiful thing.

  • this is the original THE LEGEND JAMES MOODY, NO ONE CAN DO IT BETTER THEN THE ORIGINAL!!!!!!!

  • For all of the ignorant ones out there, this is not "his version", this is the ORIGINAL.!

  • thank you!

  • Yeah...OH Elliot Yamin! Sooo good!

....Moody's version is unorthodox...but that's the nature of the style of the piece. I bet he's never sang this the same way twice.

  • does he have a lisp?

  • No. he suffered a stroke and recovered sufficient enought to continued to blow. You must hear the instrumental also by Mr. Moody.

  • king pleasure does a better job

  • Please, please tell me you are joking.

  • There is another vocal version of this song done also by Eddie Jefferson and George Benson.

  • forgive my ignorance, but who is singing?

  • That's James Moody.

His sax solo to the song "In the Mood for Love" grew into a standard of its own, becoming "Moody's Mood For Love," with lyrics and all...

This version is wild, to say the least!

  • Thirded?

  • Excellent, i love it....

  • I second that "Magnificent!" Thanks for sharing!
