mad cow disease can also happen when a mad cow disease infected cow bites you, spreading those horrible germs into you, can intentionally make you into a zombie in a way
@Azated2 Agreed. Death from human stupidity is a bigger epidemic than Mad Cow Disease. However the disease IS very common in cows. It's why they're killed so young. Currently, I think cows can only be used for meat if they don't get any older than about 18 months. It's also why we use growth hormones on cattle, because consumers like big steaks, and you can't get that on such a young cow. :P Anyway, it's not like we should stop eating beef, just an interesting fact.
Recently this year (2011) it was revealed that there was an E-Coli outbreak in the UK, but as scientists couldn't find the source and the government didn't want to cause panic, the public simply wasn't told. I'm from the UK and I expect our government to be honest with its people...yet sadly it covers things up all too often.
lol, i was right in the middle of all that, yes the uk had a problem, the uk dealt with the problem.
at first we did nt know what it was or the causes, we were open an up front about it once we knew, at least we never did what other EU farmers did when they suspected it, which was dig a big hole and forget it ever happened, and that did happen in countries with a prominant beef industry, trust me on that.
another strange thing, why did no farmers, slaughtermen, meat inspectors or butchers get it?
@2dFXman its okay if u dont believe him he still loves everybody no matter what he created everyone and everything for a reason and some time we dont under stand those reasons
@Thesuperchuggaafan So he shows his love by creating many horrible diseases and killing humans in painful death? Where most of these deaths are innocent people and children. Tough love.
@Thesuperchuggaafan But why won't god give us the answer then? Killing millions of people each year is even worse than Hitler. Why do you worship a deity that commits mass genocide? It makes no sense to me.
@Thesuperchuggaafan There is no reason. Just like there is no god. If there is god, he is very evil because he allows so many people to suffer and have really terrible lives. If I have to pick, I'd rather worship Hitler. Atleast he is real and had a reason to commit genocide(sure it was a stupid reason, but a reason).
@2dFXman well he is reel i believe that he is u don't have to believe in him but he is reel he just needs people to believe in him but u don't have to but if u give him time he will reveal his secrets
I feel more sad for the cows and animals than for humans. Why? because i bet we have created this disease like many others with hormonal products to make cows more fat that contribute to more "juicy" and "large" pieces of meat! People are dying at a younger age because of what we don't know is in our food
@anapao89 mad cow develops from cows being fed cow byproducts. you have to eat part of the brain and be genetically susceptible to get it. Dont worry you can die earlier from something else.

Oh wow....that really is sad..... And the fact that the man who denied the disease and claimed there was no risk [which was an ignnorant lie] Watched the girl he had fed 'Perfectly Safe Beef' to on television [to prove an incorrect point] suffer and die of the very same disease he claimed 'There was no need to worry about' Is kindof like Poetic Justice...In a tragic way. Makes you think...
@MegaLolburger did i say ecoli? no. i was talking about mad cow, which, again, i dont need to worry about because i am a vegetarian. you act as if im the only one who is affected by an ecoli outbreak. go flame somewhere else.
@stickflip723 You said 'Im a Veggie so I dont need to worry'. It dosent really mean shit if you dont have to worry about CJD (Which actually you do as you can contract it through medical equipment too) because there is plenty of other shit that can get you. I used the example of the new mutant strain of E.coli. And then you randomly jump to the conclusion that I said you are the only one that is affected by it which is beyond retarded.
@MegaLolburger i have to worry about one less thing than most, that was the point i was trying to make. i cant imagine how incredibly paranoid you must be if you spend your free time jumping down peoples throats on youtube because THERES SO MUCH SHIT THAT CAN GET YOU. i dont care. good bye.
@stickflip723 Are you retarded? I just said it can be contracted through medical equipment. So yes, you do have to worry about it. Paranoid? I suggest you look at a dictionary sunshine and educate yourself.
People people, get a grip if you're shit-scared of this. The EU banned the use of meat and bone meal for ALL animals in 2001, and if you live in Sweden you're PARTICULARLY lucky, because they banned it back in '86. The USA I cannot answer for, but CJD occurs in 1 out of 1,000,000 million people. Ergo, throughout the whole world there should be 6,000 cases. I also think South America is safe because the cattle graze solely on the pampas there.
if a human eats infected beef from a 'mad cow' it is called the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, there is a theory that says, what if the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease evolves into a contagious virus that spreads by blood to blood contact or Soliva to blood contact, we will have a zombie case on our hands :)
I am afraid no one can say " I love animals" unless they dont eat meat.....[to avoid any commenting, yes man can survive without eating meat for whatever meat has 2 offer u can find in other resources].
@kvazarblazar i love animals and i eat meat, i dont think what your saying is true. i dont eat animals because i hate them, i eat animals because i love how they taste
And When BSE material infects humans the resulting disease is known as new variant CJD nvCJD. . so Again its not some "slap in the face" like "You asshole you encouraged people to eat meat and had to watch your best friends daughter die". No..that wasn't it at all.
@iamnooneatall Yeah it is....wow! Makes you think that people going insane and soon will be just left with crazy shit. Man! Can Zombies really exist? Maybe this could be the start huh? Knowing that viruses now and some other parasites already has the necessary traits for mind fucking. This is bad...
Fucking John Gummer should have had to watch HIS daughter die, after he used her for his campaign and UT HER AT RISK of getting the fucking desease herself for his profit. That disgusts me. There are times when people deserve death, this is one of them. That fucker knew there was something wrong, he and his comittee ket denying it for years until people started to die. I hope that fucker dies a horrible death.
@NemmyLadyZombie Keep in mind vCJD or Variant Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease is most commonly a spontaneous disease. you can get vCJD spotaneously without being exposed to anything, if a prion becomes misfolded some how, it will continue to encourage other prion proteins to "misfold" and thus = the disease. So that statement about his friends daughter is misleading. It doesnt necessarily mean she got it from eating meat.
as you think about zombies they are real.theres a wasp and a fungus that carries the same disease.its in Africa and Asia. Also the swizts have done test with mice with zombie spray and the mice came up with the same symptoms.if you dont believe me look it up.popsci i believe has the article

So that's what happened during 1986's "holiday" home to England. Well, that, our dead dog, a dead space shuttle crew, Piper Alpha and oh right, about the same time my ex-GIRLFRIEND the "genius" hostage taker came out.

It goes "I'll make you my FUCKING BITCH IF I HAVE TO, now that I've exhausted you" or words to that effect.
Share it, you fucking Presidential GOOF
You wanted that "holiday" and then my childhood. HAVE IT.
This is really sad. I wish that Mad Cow disease never existed. I wish that diseases in general never existed. I wish that the world didn't have sicknesses. Sadly, that is impossible and there is no way that anyone can eliminate every illness in the world. I love animals and I feel sorrow whenever they die of whatever cause. I love all animals, even those that aren't the friendliest or loveliest.
@LuNaRiKk0 That is so adorable, and very naive. Disease and death is a part of nature, and an important part at that. Unfortunately, we're constantly coming up with means of fighting disease, and the effects are disasterous. Seven billion people and counting. You may not be the brightest of the bunch, but even you would agree that it's not sustainable, right?
why would someone chop up the leftovers of a cow and then feed it to the rest of the cows? i mean if you cant eat it then why do you feed it to the animal it came from?
you do need protein (beef) in your system that's why vegetarians giving birth, their vagina tend to be soggy and bleed a lot, reason is because they don't have much protein and their tissue doesn't heal fast. So why call them "Great Britain"?...they're not that great. Me...I'd rather eat Kobe Beef. It's delicious but burns hole in my wallet.
Protein is present in various vegetables, not just in meat. Where do you think cows, herbivores, get their proteins? Grass! Which has a relatively LOW protein content compared to other plants like wheat that humans eat.
Plus, just don't eat British beef or better yet, don't eat beef. No other type of meat is known to transmit this disease, even amongst animals that can catch these types of diseases themselves. (Except monkeys, perhaps, which can even catch CJD)
@nafaidni it's low. They've evolved to be in this situation, but not be forced into cannibalism and forced to be carnivore. Us humans are not evolved to consume just vegetables. Remember the food pyramid? It suppose to be balanced. Like that. Since all the talk now is about being vegetarian, eating low carbs, avoiding fatty food, hell the food pyramid is forgotten. It's what made us healthy back then. ALL food have calories even just a little. If people eat no calories, no carbs, no nothing
@nafaidni then where's the nutrition the body needs? Where's the energy the body needs? I've done a lot of research for my project in college worth 40% of my grade last semester and interviewed many people, according to my research, vegetarians all the way tend to heal a lot slower than those who eat balance meals, preferably being themselves, as in eating meat like usually.
jesus christ talk about dramatic. apparently the british government are trying to kill the entire human population with their tainted beef. i wonder what these guys think of aliens?
OMG! That is so scary. I never want to go to the UK and eat beef there. :S And the actual scientific name for Mad Cow Disease is Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) for short.
There is no human mad cow disease.....it's Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy...key word, Bovine. vCJD is similar but....not the exact protein. But this self folding protein can cause a human to develop the same symptoms and die.
This is horrible.....you get it, and you die,...so simple and so bleak..so depressing....what is life@!!!!??
whata load of cowshit, same as killer bees invading america back in the 90s
i also dont belive for a second that that guy even knew anyone that died of mcd, much less a daughter of his friend. way to damn convenient. nexttime dont get your news from Korea
Creutzfeldt Jakob disease is extremely rare- for comparison about 300,000 people in the U.S. Have multiple sclerosis- Only about 100-200 people each year get CJD. U shouldnt stop eating beef anytime soon as there are other causes of CJD (human mad cow disease) most of which are sporadic. On top of that, u would probably have a bettr chance hittin da lottery
ok everyone, please take this video with a grain of salt. much of what you hear or see on tv and in newspapers is one sided and biased. this video is trying to scare you into not eating beef, but it does not infom you about the fact that it is very rare, newly discovered, and mostly concentrated in the UK. and basically, i could go on and on about the true science behind this disease and how it started, but all i can say is: do some serious, non biased research before forming and opinion!!
yeah, modern agriculture is crap, but TSE's have existed for centuries, Kuru, FFI, those are some TSE's and are relativey old diseases, nobody knows when those horrific diseases started, or which was the first specie to have those mutations for PrPsc
275 people have been been infected vCJD, so risk of mad cow is 1 in 10 billion, risk of E. coli 1 in 4,100, risk of cancer, getting knocked down, getting into a car crash etc are all higher than getting "mad cow disease" its still horrible and RIP to those who have died from vCJD
mad cow disease can also happen when a mad cow disease infected cow bites you, spreading those horrible germs into you, can intentionally make you into a zombie in a way

It's delicious but burns hole in my wallet.
pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR 1 year ago
@pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR What?? Do you have any knowledge of protein synthesis in an organism? You need amino acids in fact, not proteins.
r0galik 1 year ago
@pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR
(Except monkeys, perhaps, which can even catch CJD)
nafaidni 11 months ago
@nafaidni it's low. They've evolved to be in this situation, but not be forced into cannibalism and forced to be carnivore. Us humans are not evolved to consume just vegetables. Remember the food pyramid? It suppose to be balanced. Like that. Since all the talk now is about being vegetarian, eating low carbs, avoiding fatty food, hell the food pyramid is forgotten. It's what made us healthy back then. ALL food have calories even just a little. If people eat no calories, no carbs, no nothing
pinoyALLmotorEVOIXMR 11 months ago
@nafaidni then where's the nutrition the body needs? Where's the energy the body needs? I've done a lot of research for my project in college worth 40% of my grade last semester and interviewed many people, according to my research, vegetarians all the way tend to heal a lot slower than those who eat balance meals, preferably being themselves, as in eating meat like usually.

this is natures way of saying , dont eat your own kind!!!!!! cannibalism is rong! rather its human on human or cow on cow
whiteboypatrickkelly 1 year ago
@whiteboypatrickkelly As a vegetarian, I hate this argument. It is not valid. Carnivores exist naturally, and "eat their own kind" to survive.
You wont be finding leopards grazing with antelope any time soon to avoid eating flesh.

OMG! That is so scary. I never want to go to the UK and eat beef there. :S And the actual scientific name for Mad Cow Disease is Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) for short.
MrLochlanwaters 1 year ago
that;s a very powerful song, what's it called?
Mintyfressh 1 year ago
There is no human mad cow disease.....it's Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy...key word, Bovine. vCJD is similar but....not the exact protein. But this self folding protein can cause a human to develop the same symptoms and die.
This is horrible.....you get it, and you die,...so simple and so bleak..so depressing....what is life@!!!!??

Creutzfeldt Jakob disease is extremely rare- for comparison about 300,000 people in the U.S. Have multiple sclerosis- Only about 100-200 people each year get CJD. U shouldnt stop eating beef anytime soon as there are other causes of CJD (human mad cow disease) most of which are sporadic. On top of that, u would probably have a bettr chance hittin da lottery
piecea10 1 year ago
ok everyone, please take this video with a grain of salt. much of what you hear or see on tv and in newspapers is one sided and biased. this video is trying to scare you into not eating beef, but it does not infom you about the fact that it is very rare, newly discovered, and mostly concentrated in the UK. and basically, i could go on and on about the true science behind this disease and how it started, but all i can say is: do some serious, non biased research before forming and opinion!!

Spongiform encephalopathy is a really dangerous disease... but its only one reason why the modern agricultural industry is so terrible.
Ladyofdeath777 1 year ago
@Ladyofdeath777
yeah, modern agriculture is crap, but TSE's have existed for centuries, Kuru, FFI, those are some TSE's and are relativey old diseases, nobody knows when those horrific diseases started, or which was the first specie to have those mutations for PrPsc
