I used to like the old Rickman eight valve conversion on the Bonny never knew short of methanol such a power band improvement using a fairly simple bike tweak
Norvin = Vincent & Norton and Triton = Triumph bonny engine & Norton featherbed frame were the ultimate cafe racers, I remember the ACE cafe in those days. search google ace-cafe-london com cafe-racers.
Remember George Brown had a bike shop in Stevenage U.K had a drag Vincent 1000 called Nemo I was 15 or 16 then I'm 64 now so in 1962/3. I was in a display team called the Breaks a youth club in Hatfield Herts. We had the ex-army display teams bikes all B.S.A's.
i'm totally blown away by this. as a guy brought up with british iron, i do have a lot of affection for anything home grown. but to see something of this vintage holding its own against modern top bikes is fantastic to say the least. i'm loading this to my facebook to show my mates, many,,many thanks for posting this. by the way, i ride a yamaha r1 on a daily basis, and my other r1 i use for sundays and touring (yes, they do that really well too). my dad used to ride ajs and triumph.
@tubbymarshall Check out George Brown and his acheivements with Nero and Super Nero, you can see him partway into this clip on here"Mooneyes at Silverstone 1963 "
