Ron Paul stands for the opposite of everything Blue Scholars is about. Geo and Sabzi are socialists, not libertarians who don't acknowledge the racist, classist and sexist nature of capitalism.
Ron Paul may have some good ideas.. but they are overshadowed by his position on abortion. A woman has the right to choose. You cannot stand for freedom when you are ok with robbing freedoms from half the people. Women are human and just as deserving of Human Rights and control of their own body. Anyone who feels fine with taking freedom from anyone on the basis of gender, race, class, sexual ortientation, and/or disablity has larger issues brewing... and doesn't honor human rights for all.
Life begins before the baby is actually born. What about the freedoms of the baby who cannot speak for his/her self. Ask somebody whos had an abortion if they ever wonder, what if?
imo I think its highly possible this can make people be smarter about their decisions and unite families which can lower the divorce rates.

you are arguing that you want insurance "just in case you get knocked up w/o using proper judgement or protection" and your willing to kill your own baby for these mistakes. you are not even willing to travel to another state to get an abortion if you make this mistake. Ron Paul wants the decision to be left up to the states. If you think the IRS fraud which is the direct source of inflation/devaluation of our economy and the hundreds of thousands dying over a falsified war is "overshadowed" by women having to drive or fly to another state to have an abortion, then you really need to get your priorities in check.
I wonder if you male. It isn't about choosing freedoms. It is about FREEDOM for everyone. Isn't that what the US brags about? Freedom. I think we can and should end false wars and improve the economy BUT everyone must have human rights. Women are not second class citizens. How does the right to choose interfere with the other concerns you mention? If you think it is ok for anything to be more important than human rights for all... then you are the one who needs to check your priorities.
Why would a senator want to bring the troops home when they already won the war that congress sent them to fight? Al Qaeda has been decimated, the Sunnis have given up thier quest to take back the government, Sadr has been sidelined and the Iranians are being rolled up. Seems like times have changed since last year, why hasn't Ron Paul?
