how did you merge the half circle thing to the laser at 2:17, then can you explain what you did at 2:52? if you could just tell me what keys to use that would be awsome! nice vid btw, thanks.
For the first one, I clicked a vertex, then held shift while clicking the vertex I wanted it merged to, then pressed 'w' -> merge (then just choose which one you want it merged to)
For the second, I simply deleted the faces that would be between the wing and cannon and then created new faces between them. That way I wouldn't have extra faces inside the mesh.
To do a edge loop, do Ctrl + R, hover over the area you want to do it. They will appear as a purple line, use +/- to add more loops or less, when you get what you want, hit enter or click. Extra verts can be added by selecting an edge or area and going W -> subdivide.
Hmmm... I'm kinda new so can you help me with a spot?If you can... Can you tell me how to grab a selection of faces at once? I'm getting tired of selecting face by face...
all you do is hit "b" and you can select a number of faces by clicking and then dragging, thus creating a box, and all faces within that box are then created. Or by hitting "b" twice, you get the same effect but instead of clicking and creating a box, it gives you a circle that you can click multiple times/drag and any faces that the circle hits are then selected (you can change the circle size by using the mouse wheel)

You could always create a photobucket account and then upload the picture there and then post a link to the uploaded picture here.

I hope this helps and makes sense.
