Although I haven't lived in Canada for over 11 years, Kelowna was my hometown. When I did live there, the rumor was that when MGB in the early days came to town, someone, or someones, threw beer bottles at him while he performed. As a result of the fools typical of that area (and I know) he said something like F*** this town, and said he would never perform there again. I moved away in '98. I've never been able to confirm the rumor - anyone know about people throwing bottles at him WAY back?

I speak from several experiences.

Having gone to small audience centric shows, and having him refuse encores, telling people to shut up or "stop requesting that damn song, I'm going to play songs from my new album" etc etc.

Hell during interviews with Canadian music programs (Much Music, Much More Music. etc.) He's been known for being cold and somewhat of a dick. I'm just saying, he's cool , but as a musician, a dick.

I saw him in Fredericton on this tour. Just like in this video, when he sang this song you could have heard a pin drop. Beautiful rendition. Matthew Good is amazing.
