  • Jimmy Holmes is singing this version. A tenor with incredible vocal range and talent. As the poster says, this is a spin-off version of the Ink Spots.

The Ink Spots brings out the harmony in me.

  • @orenjidance maybe we can . I thought of a city that Is based off of the 1940's. a haven a paradise for the last remnants of the old times .to recapture a simpler time with no crime .a heaven on earth

  • I think this is Bill Kenny, whoever is singing does sound, or is dreadfully similar!

  • now THATS how you sing tenor!!!!

  • everytime i watched the eps of bugs bunny singin i'd sing it along with him

  • @Joseph3695

It's not here to be compaired

  • I cant go to one ink spots video without seeing someone mention the fallout series. =(

  • This "Trademark-Intro" is such an amazing idea^^

  • I love how alot of their songs begin with the same few notes, but they're all unique... SUCH a great group!

  • If you don't like this then turn it off and listen to something else. As for as I am concerned though, I could listen to this all day.

  • trademark intro

    luv this song

  • wtf ive clicked like 10 related vids of the ink spots songs and the intros are all the same.

  • what is this st uff

  • Every, gosh darn time, this song comes on and they sing and I cry like it was yesterday.

  • @chenzenzo - I get sentimental too. Wish we could bring back the past. It was somehow much better than now, but that's just me.

  • HEY ASSHOLES, stop trolling this video. if you wna fight take your bullshit to PM. nobody fucking cares. this is an amazing group and they released amazing songs

  • Inkspots had music in the first fallout and the new one fallout3 i never heard of fallout before the thrid one but i love the series and the music

  • I know this was used in a video game, or whatever the kids say it is in, but the people who keep saying "Stupid kids get this from their video games..." and so on. Without the game, they would have never met this music. AMAZING song!

  • Great song !! I have uploaded bugs singing this in "Gorilla my dreams", just check my profile

  • Great voices

  • this is way better than any new music

  • i love this song, it always reminds me of the Bugs Bunny Cartoon that starts with him singing this song while paddling a barrel on the ocean. "Gorilla My Dreams"

  • i noticed that all their songs have the same bass line in the beginning...

  • Guitar.

  • Stop picking your nose and enjoy some old time music, you must be about 21 .

  • yeah it's like their signature

  • Not all, mind you. I can name If I Didn't Care, for an example.

  • @tacosmell1000 me too

  • @tacosmell1000 i guess thats the reason why i immedatily discovered that a ink spots song appeared in fallout 3

  • very good recording and audio play! great song, i've only heard the bugs bunny cartoon version before.

  • Are you talking about The Big Snooze from 1946?

  • Thanks for the info. I forgot wht episode it was.

  • @exsandiegan1 lol me too, thats the reason that i looked this up

  • what year was this released??

  • 1955

  • Actually, it may be 1941...or that's when The Ink Spots originally released it (it was used in The Big Snooze 5 years later).

  • This version was releasd in 1955

  • @AEMoreira81 This is not "Ink Spots" but Charlie Fuqua's Ink Spots. Original member Charlie left the group and he found new one. They recorded the most in 50's.

  • Could you please inform the name of that lead tenor? terrific!

  • Does anyone know where I can get this version of the song? I've looked on itunes and its in a different key and tempo and it doesn't sound nearly as good. I really want one to put on my ipod because I've listened to this on youtube literally 30 times.

  • The version playing here is on the vinyl LP pictured at the beginning of video. It's Ink Spots 18 Hits (King records #5001X). It's a compilation that was released in the 1980's and not too hard to find.

  • download tooble from the internet. you can then download youtubes files to your pc and ipod

  • Or down loader for Firefox...

  • Merta, all I can say & I've done it B4 is 2 ask the person that posted this on youtube. This person obviously has it on their computer. Ask them if they can e-mail it 2 U. Trust me, when all fails, that might B the only option...

  • This song is so pretty. All these gentleman sound wonderful. However, I still have a hard time comparing anyone with the magnificence of Bill Kenny's great tenor. The Ink Spots sound is always very pleasant. Thank you for posting. - Paula

  • @tamiktamik What is your problem? Get a life kid.

  • no, whats UR problem

  • I don't have a problem little boy. Now grow up or shut up.

  • Why wouldn't I, you just keep adding fuel to the fire. Shut the fuck up and get life.

  • I guess I have to repeat myself for your small mind. "Why wouldn't I, you just keep adding fuel to the fire." And why do you insist on cussing so much hmm? And using caps? You really need to learn not to do that so much. By the way, how old are you to begin with?

  • @tamiktamik Ahh now thats funny, you bitch about people messaging back and tell them to get a life, when you take time out of your "obviously" extremely busy schedule to reply to their message.

Enough of the damn Trolling, there's a bright new world outside your basement window, your mom has had enough of you and she wants some to get some action, unlike you.

  • wish you were here, cause u would be dead hanging

  • the first few notes sound EXACTLY like the first few notes of "I dont want to set the world on fire".

  • That kind of a trademark of the Ink Spots a lot of the songs started out that way

  • @nipsipone Aye, I got their collection a few years ago and most the songs started with that same riff :)

  • @ajb221 Yes, the vast majority of their songs begin with the same chord progression, I #idim ii7 V7.

  • I remember Bugs Bunny singing part of this in an old cartoon...

Anyone else seen what I'm talking about?

  • i do!!! i love bugs bunny

  • It was "Gorilla My Dreams." Bugs was adrift in the Atlantic until he's picked up by a female gorilla with a maternal complex. She dressed bugs in a diaper and takes him home to her husbanc, Grusome, who is none too happy to see Bugs.

  • I was about to say that lol

  • From 0:00 - 0:06 ii just love that part.

I love lisening to these songs after i did play Fallout 3.

  • Actually the best song ever. :)

  • Someone's rocking my dream boat!

  • mmmm. can't stop singing it now. My sincere thanks to nipsipone. =)

  • At the same pitch ? haha :)

  • good point. :P I'm a bass, so, i'm singing it like, 2 octaves lower, haha.

  • I absolutely love this song..

  • The Ink Spots come from my home town (Indianapolis). I've heard that the bass baritone that speaks the parts always felt that he didn't get enough parts and recognition and there was always tension on this subject within the group.

  • I just wonder if we will ever hear that kind of harmony again? I hope so but I seriously doubt it.

  • @pineappleschool7 yea thats not gonna EVER happen, no way dude, if someone sang like this nowadays no one would listen to it. cept for me and you and the rest of the people on here. most people think im trying to act cool when i listen to music related to this but i actually do enjoy it lol

  • @pineappleschool7 So true Brother, so true

  • @pineappleschool7 we can make new songs ourselves . maybe we can start our own ink sots groups to

  • Thanks for posting this. I also first heard this song in the Looney Tunes cartoons!

  • my first exposure to this song was from a Bugs Bunny cartoon where he sang this song while adrift at sea in a barrel reading an Esquire magazine lol.

  • Here, here !! That's my original exposure to the song as well. God bless Bugs !!

  • Its a mystery to me, this mutinany at see. Who can it be?

  • Terrific song - great harmony. Thanks for posting the background information, it's so important that this knowledge is kept on record.

  • The quality on that video is superb. Its hard to find videos of that quality.

Enjoyed every minute of that song. :D
